In Western Culture, self development areas etc I have found x2 common and often opposing/contradictory practices. 1. That in order to grow and become we are told NOT to look back at our last. To keep our eyes on the road ahead. OR 2. In Western therapy, psychology and counselling they want to explore the first x7 years of your life or the whole timeline. I didn't find any connection or release through either practices. And as a First Nations woman, looking back is the one for the practices of looking back allows me understanding of where I have come from, and how I became this person. It offers wisdom, lessons and insights. So grateful for the Ancient practices of my Old People and cultures. In a moment of this practices I came across the FIRST flyer ever made for our first Kiilalaana Foundation session ran in 2013. This finding allowed me a moment of deep pride and connection to my own journey. And offered some wisdom for where I am today, the journey, the ripples effect that got me and here and the seeds planted along the way that arw now bearing fruit and seeds of their own. #firstnationsculture #warriorheart #Reconciliation
