AI has also helped to prove that data isn’t just numbers these days! Don’t get me wrong – it all boils down to binary numbers in the end but now with the power of AI, there’s something called ‘Sentiment Analysis’ By using AI-driven sentiment analysis, we can now gauge public perception and sentiment surrounding a product, brand, or topic. Visualizing these sentiment trends over time can help your business adapt your strategy based on feedback from your customers, including their preferences. Scary right? But so powerful! You can tailor marketing campaigns and your products based on how your customers feel about your products and services, giving you a competitive edge because you’re triggering emotions in your customers! If you’d like to find out more about sentiment analysis give me a shout. If you want to know more about customer triggers, give my wife Reena Patel at You and Your Story shout… #data #sentiment #emotion

Really great evening with the Snowflake team Snowflake Computing HQ yesterday. Great to meet so many individuals with the same mindset as myself. Fascinating insights from Peter Aubrey about Snowflake being much more than a Data Warehouse. The key features are constantly developing and it’s great to see all the new features being added to make Snowflake even better. I can’t wait to start putting everything I’ve learnt into practice. Looking forward to the next session! #snowflake #data #datawarehouse #tahola

In a month’s time, me and Reena Patel will be doing a 5k walk in Victoria Park, Leicester for Cancer Research UK. We’ve been building a 2 mile walk into our daily routine every day and it’s worked wonders for our minds and health! We’ll be walking a little faster than we were in this picture and hoping it is dry that day too! Thank you to everyone that has already donated, any further donations are hugely appreciated, every penny counts in the battle against cancer! https://lnkd.in/eA9zVReQ Oh and Thanks to Nina Mistry for the photography! #cancerresearch #cruk #raceforlife

This is such a great video, I mean the scene from the movie was awesome, relating it to data = Genius! Everything Dylan Anderson says is so true - big data is only meaningful if it's filled with quality data! #quality #dataquality #bigdata

The future of data is small, not big 🎯 👇 While companies are still somewhat obsessed about harnessing large amounts of data, the smartest ones are figuring out how to find the best bits and bytes within the mess 👌 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲 – Focus on more curated and focused data, reducing noise and enhancing the relevancy. This often translates to higher data quality and more precise insights. 👀 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 – Smaller data sets can be understood and manipulated without the need for complex infrastructure allowing more stakeholders to engage with it and the insights ⚡ 𝐀𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 – Analytics can be performed more quickly, and models can be more responsive in real-time 🧘♂️ 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 – Large datasets can lead to overwhelming analysis where it’s difficult to know where to start or end. Small data keeps things manageable and focused. 🔒 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 – With the important data identified, managing smaller datasets is inherently easier, helpful for business data owners, compliance requirements, and mitigating data risks Despite all this, it is hard to really curate and figure out what bits of data you need. Data modelling, data management principles, cataloguing tools and governance are essential to this, especially when linking it to the business And the flip side, is sometimes you need more data to train models, but that data needs to be carefully acquired and still requires all the capabilities mentioned above What are your thoughts? This weekend we visited the F1® Arcade in Birmingham and it was a great experience. The points system was really fascinating, I got 1850 points even if I did lose a few points when Reena Patel drove into me and flipped my car over! I’d love to know how the system worked, how many points I got for overtaking all the other drivers, how I lost points and how I came in overall against all the other drivers that day – I’d have a field day with all that data, if only they sent us all the scores and points breakdown after the day! We ended up spending a few hours there and having some cocktails and snacks, it was a good day overall. Seeing the replays would be an eye opener too – the crash Reena Patel caused was apparently spectacular!! #data #formula1 #racing #experience #analysis #dataanalysis #race

100% agree with Reena Patel Our daily walks help with keeping us fit and making sure we're stepping away from the screen. It's too easy to get lost in work and hours fly by which is great from a work perspective but not for your health or mental health. I encourage you all to take regular breaks, put the laptop to sleep, put the phone on DND and get outside for some fresh air! #mhaw #mentalhealthawarenessweek
It’s Mental Health Awareness Week! 💜 This year’s theme is movement: moving more for our mental health. Movement is important for our mental health. But so many of us struggle to move enough. Power BI and Qlik Reporting are both powerful business intelligence (BI) tools, but they have some differences in functionality and target audience. Power BI, developed by Microsoft, is known for its user-friendly interface and seamless integration with other Microsoft products like Excel and Azure. It's great for businesses that heavily rely on Microsoft technologies and want a quick setup with robust visualisation capabilities. Power BI works well for small to large enterprises across various industries, providing easy-to-understand insights through interactive dashboards and reports. Its strength lies in its affordability and accessibility for businesses already invested in the Microsoft ecosystem. Qlik Reporting, on the other hand, offers a more advanced data analytics platform with associative data modelling, allowing users to explore data relationships dynamically. It's best suited for organisations that require complex data analysis and have large datasets from multiple sources. Qlik's strength lies in its ability to handle complex data sets and perform advanced analytics, making it ideal for industries like finance, healthcare, and manufacturing. In my opinion, Power BI is best for businesses looking for easy-to-use BI tools with seamless Microsoft integration, while Qlik Reporting is ideal for companies needing advanced analytics capabilities and complex data handling. If you need a hand deciding what’s right for you, give me a shout. #reporting #powerbi #qlik #Microsoftreporting #analytics #data

I often get asked about Snowflake and how it can help my customers but it can be an absolute minefield if you’re not a data geek like me… To make it easier to take in, Imagine you have a huge library with lots of books, each containing different types of information. Now, picture Snowflake as a super-smart librarian who not only organises all these books but also helps people find exactly what they need quickly and efficiently. In traditional libraries (or data warehouses), you might have to search through lots of different shelves and sections to find the books you want. But with Snowflake, it's like having a magical library where the librarian instantly knows where every book is and can bring it to you with just a few clicks. Snowflake organises data in a way that makes it easy to store and access, just like the librarian organizes books in a library. It's also really good at handling lots of people looking for information at the same time, so you don't have to wait in line to get what you need. So, in summary, Snowflake is like a super-efficient, organised librarian for your data, making it easy for businesses and companies to store, manage, and access their information whenever they need it. #snowflake #datawarehousing #datawarehouse

Earlier this year, my wife Reena Patel signed me up for a charity walk. I make regular donations to charity but haven’t done a charity event since the Tough Mudder event in 2016 and that didn’t end so well for me... Anyway on July 14th 2024, me and my lovely wife will be taking part in the Cancer Research Race for Life. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. Help us make a difference this year by making a donation, every penny counts! https://lnkd.in/eA9zVReQ
