The Caribbean American Lawyers Association Gala was truly an incredible experience! We celebrated their distinguished honorees, raised vital funds for CALA scholarships, and supported future Caribbean American lawyers. There wasn't a dry eye in the house during Rudyard (Rudy) Whyte’s heartfelt speech. Rudy spoke passionately about the ongoing need to advocate for DEI in the legal field, the importance of mentorship and sponsorship, and the creation of opportunities for future attorneys. H.E. Mr. Dennis Francis’s moving account of his journey from Trinidad & Tobago to the United Nations presidency was particularly inspiring, reminding us all of the power of perseverance and community.
