We celebrated Shamiri Institute turning five. 🎉🎈
It was an opportunity to reflect on how far we've come. It has been quite the journey growing from our first intervention with 2,000 students to reaching 100,000 students this year!
We curated an art exhibit with key photos and artefacts from each year and a panel discussion with team members reflecting on them.
🚀 Thank you to everyone who has supported us thus far, we look forward to reaching 1 million youth by 2027.
#Shamiri#ShamiriAt5

It's not always that you listen to anecdotes from someone who is a strategic advisor, living in the US for the past 50 years, worked at World Bank Development Economics, served as a professor & took various advisory projects.
Had the pleasure of speaking to Professor Subodh Mathur & getting featured in his 𝑽𝒊𝒅𝒑𝒆𝒅: 𝑨 𝑽𝒐𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑨𝒍𝒍, which is an initiative to provide young people a platform to express and share their views.
When sir reached out at first, one thing I did not understand was, founders, working professionals or sector experts are usually invited for podcasts or discussions like these. But the idea of Vidpeds is slightly different.
It is a raw, unfiltered & unstructured open-ended conversation with no fixed set of questions or pre-described script or theme.
What I loved was our off-record conversation listening to sir's story of moving to the US, working on some projects for the World Bank & his time at Freedom Employability Academy, FEA.
𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬:
1. 𝑩𝒆 𝒂 𝒃𝒊𝒕 𝒄𝒓𝒂𝒛𝒚 if you want freedom from not working in a set structure or organization in the long run. Crazy for following your ideas, for being who you are rather than following the herd.
2. Try to use 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈. It helps to break down the most complex problems that lead us to the endless loop of doubt, confusion & overthinking.
Sir is looking for young people in their 20s, also open to talking to students in 11th & 12th.
Feel free to reach out to me & he'd be happy to chat more:)

***I have a typo in her name. It is Riya, not Riua. Very tough to change here.***

Today, I’m meeting with two of the chaps I mentor as we review the first quarter of the financial year—our first race!
But it's not just about the numbers.
We'll be diving deep into the 5Ds: Discuss, Discover, Decide, Design, and Deliver.
This comprehensive review helps us plan effectively for the next race.
Using Hashiru, we ensure every decision, discussion, and discovery is tracked and accessible.
This way, our reviews are thorough, not just a cursory glance.
How many of you do a proper review rather than a quick check?
And how many have access to every decision made along the way?
