I recently did a reel on social media which was talking about how we over complicate mental health, and that this can be quite a controversial statement to be making. I get it. As a trained psychotherapist, and also having trained in lots of other areas, I can see how we end up training in traditional psychology and are passionate and have belief in what we are doing - otherwise we wouldn’t do it! However, for me there was a catch. Read about it in this week’s new blog, and discover why healing isn’t a puzzle, it’s a return to simplicity. https://lnkd.in/ebBF3sWM Sarie x

Who Takes Care of the Caregivers? This line struck a chord with me, and I wanted to share it with all my fellow psychologists and therapists. We dedicate ourselves to helping others navigate the complexities of mental health, but it's vital to remember - we're human too. Take a break, breathe deeply, meditate, dust off that hobby, or prioritize therapy for yourselves. Don't listen to the whispers of "therapists should have it all figured out." You treat your clients with kindness and compassion; extend the same to yourselves. You deserve breaks, support, and to prioritize your well-being. Remember, you're just as complex and deserving of help as anyone else. And when you advocate that mental health is for all, don't forget to count yourselves as a priority. #mentalhealth #psychology #selfcare #therapy

So excited to be sharing my first blog post on our website now! Since beginning my field work as a therapist intern to transitioning to my permanent role as a clinician with A Better Life Therapy, I have been exploring accessible and attainable ways of working with mental health in daily life. The way we interact with and exist in our spaces says a lot about how we may be feeling internally! A cluttered space makes a cluttered mind, as they say... why not make your space work for you?? How do you customize your space to support your mental health? 🤔 https://lnkd.in/et9FVPxH
