When I started my journey with digital marketing, it was just me — a freelancer trying to manage it all, learn new things about a space I thought I am quite familiar with. It was exciting but also exhausting. I still remember the thrill (and relief) of hiring the very first intern. The moment I realized, I didn’t have to do it all alone. Sigh! Today, I’m proud to say that I’m not just a solo founder anymore — we’re a team of designers, social media managers, developers and of course our minions (interns). Every project at Digital Tale is a team effort, and there are days when I feel it’s all unreal, have I come this far? Here’s what I’ve learned along the way: - You can’t do it all. Learning to delegate was hard, but it was necessary for growth and avoiding errors! - Building a team takes time, but it’s worth it. However, be vigilant and don’t just hire for the sake of it. Here's what I did in the morning. After 2 months or so, I woke up and went to the gym. And then I came back, spoke to my mum, had a cup of tea (milk and ginger). And then, I plotted out a plan to scale Copywriting With Bo. It doesn't look unrealistic, but it has a lot of moving pieces. If done well, and done right, this could be something pretty big. The first piece I have to put together is an intern. So here I am, reaching out to you kind people to ask if you know someone who's going to be a good fit for something like this. This is particularly for people who have a startup kind of mindset. Because this will take some building. Here's who I am NOT looking for. 1. Someone for who, this is just about the money. The money is good, but the motivation should be to build something. 2. Someone who's looking at this as just a 3 month stop-gap thing 3. Someone who doesn't understand how social media works 4. Someone with 0 video editing skills Here's who I AM looking for 1. Someone who's young and driven 2. Someone with social media chops (Video editing skills, social media management, engagement, data analytics) 3.
