As a brown Indian woman, my body was not just my own; it was a commodity in the marriage market, where the ideal weight is a bestseller. I sparked off Body Secure as a beacon for those sailing in the same tumultuous waters I once found myself in. It was born from the exhaustion of dieting to meet others' expectations, only to be caught in the undertow of binge eating. It was fueled by the frustration of enduring constant scrutiny and the yearning to mend a fractured relationship with my own body. Body Secure is my rebellion against the narrative that dictates our self-worth. It's a testament to self-love and the unlearning of harmful conditioning. Untrue belief about getting sober: When you are sober, you only hangout with sober people & can no longer go to parties with alcohol. NOPE! This is untrue. To be sober does not mean you isolate yourself. Now, will there be people you stop spending as much time with? Yes! Will there be parties or/& events you chose not to attend? Yes! I coach my clients to create a non drinking unapologetic lifestyle. I give them proven tools and methods to utizile & allow for them to attend events with alcohol, and how to socialize with people who drink. These tools give them confidence in themselves to maintain and thrive in their sobriety, to ensure that they can live a full and vibrant sober lifestyle. I walk alongside you, coach you through the integration process of ensuring that this is a longterm lifestyle change. Some of my clients hure me to attend events with them, and show them how to put the tools into practice in real life. Knowing that I am inches and feet away from them, gives them the confidence they need to attend the event with confidence. Others, opt to hire me as an “on call” resource for the weekend. Knowing that Im in their back pocket as a sober mentor gives them the confidence they need to attend. Others, opt to hire me for the year and opt in for both above options as well…to ensure their continuous sobriety. Going extreme will only work so long. You want longterm success this time around. Is your path taking you where you want to go? I consider myself a student of Life. From as far back as I can remember, I have been fascinated by all things Beauty, Health and Wellness in all their facets. I love to use the 2 sides of my brain which is equal parts Arts and Science. Indeed we see companies touting the one miracle product that will make everything right. And we buy said product only to find that it doesn't quite live up to expectation. The truth is it may be a great product but likely it's only part of the equation. Like using great skincare while feeding your body junk or being really conscious of what you put on and in your body but feeding your mind the poison of negativity or stories that don't serve you, the journey to health in all facets of Life is not about the one miracle solution but rather an intentional participation in the creation a healthy Mind, Body and Spirit all working in symbiosis.
