If you know me or follow any of my personal Finance tips/advice you know that I always talk about giving to worthy causes as the best way to test your 'money psychology'. If you're in a position to do so, it would mean a lot to my kids if you'd consider a donation to their elementary school by donating to their 'fun run'. Conversely, if you have a cause you'd like some support with... my wife and I make giving 'a habit' and always look for worthy causes to consider and support. https://lnkd.in/gc6VYVC5

By supporting Back 2 School America, you're helping us help them. You and your employer can make a direct impact by sponsoring an upcoming Build-A-Kit, donating, directing, and volunteering. 😍 "Families with children in elementary through high school plan to spend an average of $874.68 on clothing, shoes, school supplies, and electronics. Total back-to-school spending is expected to reach $38.8 billion, also the second-highest figure on record, after last year’s high of $41.5 billion." 😧 https://lnkd.in/dUwga6eD

A little off topic today but this is near and dear to me. As a parent and advocate for education, I've witnessed firsthand the incredible impact of the GT (Gifted and Talented) program on our children's lives. Unfortunately, due to state budget cuts, our daughter's GT program, SPIRAL, is facing imminent restructuring, which would significantly diminish the quality of instruction next year. But there's hope, and you can be a part of it. The PTA is rallying support to preserve the SPIRAL program through donations to the Spring Branch Educational Foundation (SBEF). Your contribution will directly aid in sustaining this vital program, ensuring that our children continue to receive the enrichment and education they deserve. Here's how you can help: 1. Click here to donate through PayPal: https://lnkd.in/gtz5uzkt (Note: PayPal fees apply, and covering these fees would be immensely helpful.) 2. Mail a check made out to Spring Branch Educational Foundation with "Save SPIRAL" in the memo line to: Spring Branch Education Foundation Attention: Save SPIRAL 955 Campbell Rd., Suite 206 Houston, TX 77024 Your generosity will make a significant difference in the lives of our students. Plus, your donation is tax-deductible, as SBEF is a 501c3 organization (EIN# 76-0392316). #EducationMatters #SupportOurStudents *31% of SPIRAL kids come from Title 1 schools.

Are you ready to go back to school? Back-to-school donations are a great way to support students and schools in need. If you’re interested in making a donation, there are several options you can consider: 1. School Supplies: Pens, pencils, paper, binders, sharpies, highlighters, markers, binders, rulers, backpacks, pencil cases and duo tangs are a few things that students need for school. 2. Monetary Donations: Financial contributions can be valuable for schools to purchase necessary supplies or fund educational programs. You can donate directly to schools or consider supporting non-profit organizations that focus on education and provide resources to schools and students. 3. Clothing and Uniforms: Some schools have dress codes or require uniforms. Donating new or gently used clothing items that meet the school’s guidelines can help students who may not have access to appropriate attire. Gifted Community Foundation has started shopping for back to school supplies for multiple schools in Red Deer, Sylvan Lake and Ponoka. Here is our first haul! #giftedcommunity #helpingthoseinneed #nonprofitorganization #schoolsupplies #donations

As back to school season is in full effect, many parents are busy preparing themselves and their children for the new school year. Educators are also busy preparing for the upcoming school year and some school districts will be fortunate enough to receive financial resources that help them equip its classrooms for new & returning students while others may struggle to make do with outdated resources for their classrooms. It comes as no surprise that Oklahoma ranks poorly amongst other states in the country in education ranking 44th overall in 2024. The Every Student Succeeds Act was signed in 2015 to address advancing equity to disadvantaged & high-need students, however, many school districts continue to miss out on opportunities to better serve its students due to political sentiments that fail to prioritize the next generation of leaders and thinkers. This year I decided to join some of my friends at Generation Why to help gather & distribute school supplies to some of the Oklahoma City Public Schools who were not as fortunate to receive state or federal funding to help provide its students the necessary resources they need for the upcoming school year. Last year #GNWY managed to raise over $12k to help students at F.D. Moon Middle School for the 2023-2024 school year. This year their goal is to raise $10k for more #OKCPS schools and also host another #FillTheBus drive to accept any donations from local businesses & organizations to help steer this mission. If you or your organization is interested in participating, feel free to reach out to my dear friend Jordan at #GNWY to help them acheive their goal for the upcoming school year. Any donations can be distributed to #GNWY before or on August 4th at their #FillTheBus event or online via their website. See details below. Date/Time: 8/4/24 05:00p Location: 100 N McCormick Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73127 Fill The Bus Donations: https://lnkd.in/gJuikpUd Visit GNWY: https://lnkd.in/gsXz5p2c

After-school clubs are a vital part of many children's lives. They provide a safe and supportive space for children to play, learn, and socialise. At Menphys, we believe that all children should have access to after-school clubs, no matter their background or additional needs. It costs us on average, £15,000 to run one of our after-school clubs for a year. This covers the cost of staff, utilities and resources. We rely on the generosity of our supporters to help us keep our clubs running. Even a small donation can make a big difference. For example, a donation of £15 could help to cover the cost of a child's place in an after-school club for a week. ❤️ https://lnkd.in/ebD4HqFP You can also donate your time. We need volunteers to help with a variety of tasks, such as supervising children and helping with activities. 📞 01455 323020 ✉️ [email protected]

Thinking about ordering takeout this week? 🍔🍕 Instead of spending on takeout, consider this: the average price of a takeout meal is often around £35 – the same amount that could fund over 125 breakfasts! 🤔 If you're used to getting a takeaway, why not donate that money to support @magicbreky? Skipping one takeout meal can make a positive impact. It's an easy choice 🧠 By skipping one takeaway order, you could provide nearly a whole school year with breakfast every school morning 🤯 🍎 Support this fantastic cause by making a donation at 👉 https://bit.ly/3NWHSpr If donating isn't possible for you right now, no worries. You can still help by liking and sharing this post to spread the word, and we truly appreciate your support ❤️ #NoChildTooHungryToLearn #1MillionBreakfast #MakingADifference #FuelForLearning
