At Septarap Studios, we strive for uniqueness. Hence, the collectibles here serve the purpose of fuller aesthetics! Each plate you break in the game, will reveal an instrumentation from Leandro Polack 's amazing music. In this video, breaking all the plates will reveal full version of the original soundtrack "Tabac"! Shoutout to Anuja Yengul for working round the clock to make this game look prettier by the day! :)

Hello all! Finally, after so long, I've got some news about our beloved Project Ungrounded, a game called Musical Spirits. This game delves into the alternate aspect of platformer games, where you take on the role of the floor (in this case a piano) supporting the main character. Things have certainly been pushed here, by introducing different gameplay varieties that are supported by my take on reverse platformer genre. This here is a little gameplay showcase video to give you an idea of how "you playing as the floor" idea has been applied in different ways. Way before my time at Vancouver, as a struggler, I would maintain a notepad jotting down the ideas for a game mechanic, game narrative, a unique game concept or anything quirky regarding this interactive medium that popped in my head. I still do. Being a Game Designer, I would get excited about this list and would narrate these ideas to whoever would lend me a pair (of ears). Now some of these would sound extremely outlandish on paper, but somewhere I know that they have the potential to be the next "Katamari Damacy", "LocoRoco", any Grasshopper Manufacture Inc. game or any Devolver Digital published game, but no one would listen. Watching "The Stanley Parable" documentary made me realize that I was just a part of the guild. Hence, I started my own studio, where I could revisit my list and tick off each item one by one, building up a meaty game designer portfolio while seeing my crazy ideas becoming reality! Of course, this cannot be possible without the hard-work poured in by Anuja Yengul, Aditya Sharma, ARJUN SELVARAJ, Leandro Polack and Jane N. In a nutshell, if you have an idea deemed as weird, crazy or quirky by the world, don't give up on it.

It’s been a hot minute since the last update from us, I believe. A lot has happened between then and now, yet we have been burning the midnight oil in order to bring a quality title to the shelves! Along with the Project Ungrounded (now officially christened as Musical Spirits), Septarap Studio has also been working on an endless runner game called VaporWarp. Now, this is not your typical run-to-the-mill endless runner, mind you. Here, you always drive in either left or right direction, never going straight. Thus making you pay attention to the oncoming cars, in both directions! The game will be out for iOS devices by July the 4th, 2024. I just can’t wait to share this one with y’all!

[KEEP THE SOUND ON!! 🔊 🔊 ] In this day and age where AI is gearing up to dominate the gaming industry, we keep forgetting how creative and ORIGINAL the human handiwork can get! The intro for Septarap Studios (which would be different based on the game's theme) is just so brilliantly animated by Anuja Yengul, while the sound mixing and audio editing done by Leandro Polack is on-point! I am glad I'm working with humans and not bots.

[KEEP THE SOUND ON] Just a small snippet of "Musical Spirits", a musical platformer where the spirits of members of a certain cursed jazz band are trapped in various beer bottles and it's up to Sammy, the spirit of a dead pianist, to free them from their eternal confinement. How did the band members end up up in these beer bottles? Who put them in there? How did all of this even happen? Stay tuned to know it all!

Greetings from the Septarap Studios! We are gearing towards taking a big step taking our first ever game out of production phase and entering post-production soon. I am extremely happy with the progress we are making (despite several delays and ups & downs) and am excited to introduce "Musical Spirits" to the gamers who enjoy platforming games with musical focus in gameplay! Thanks to Leandro Polack for his awesome soundtracks, Anuja Yengul for the amazing 2.5D art direction and 3D modelling and Goodness Nwachukwu for a storyline that's equal parts engaging and interesting!
