Financial planning to secure your - and your family's - future | Financial Advisor | Bristol & North Somerset | Investment planning | Pension planning
Summer can be a great time to take stock and consider what changes are needed to keep your work interesting. When you’re immersed in the day- to day details of your life and job, it can be really hard to see the wood for the trees. But taking a break over the summer is a great time to reassess. Life’s far too short to be in a job you don’t enjoy. I love helping my clients align their financial plans with their career vision. And by regularly reviewing their plans, they get the accountability and support they need o make the career changes required to achieve the financial future they want. You might want to change direction at work, apply for a different job or start your own business. I can help you create a plan to do just that. The first step is to get on a call to talk through your options. DM me to set that up and we can go from there. This photo, taken in the front of Wall Street, isn't just a picture. It's a testament to overcoming challenges and never giving up on one's ambitions. ♥️♥️ Growing up, the idea of studying for a master's and making it to Wall Street felt like aiming for the stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ There were countless late nights of studying, sacrifices, and moments filled with doubt. But the thought of standing among the giants of finance, of being part of something so much bigger, kept the motivation alive. 🙇♂️🙇♂️🙇♂️ Now, here, capturing this moment, it's more than just visiting a landmark. It's a personal victory, a reminder of the journey from dreaming to achieving. ✔️✔️✔️ It symbolizes not just where I am but how far I've come. This picture will always be a powerful reminder that hard work pays off, and no dream is too big if you're willing to chase it.😄💕😄 #quantitativefinance #dreams #financialengineering #riskmanagement #hardworkpaysoff #dreambig #career #USA

Are you moving to Y’all Street? What would Gordon Gekko think about the latest trend of financial firms flocking to Texas? Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, and other financial giants are rapidly expanding their presence in the Lone Star State. Business school students might start dreaming of careers in Dallas instead of Wall Street. Goldman is investing $500 million in a new tower in Dallas for over 5,000 employees, and Wells Fargo is set to open a nearby campus next year. Meanwhile, New York City’s financial district is seeing more empty office buildings and conversions to residential spaces. There are now more JPMorgan employees in Texas than in New York. It’s a clear sign that the tide is shifting. Is it time for New York to rethink its strategy? How can NY turn things around?

I talk about what it takes to work both the corporate world and build your own business in the digital world
A Year of Reflection: Balancing Corporate Success and Entrepreneurial Growth As this year ends, I find myself reflecting on a journey that's been both fulfilling and transformative. For over 27 years, I've been part of Mississippi's largest credit union, an experience that has enriched my life with successful team-building and invaluable lessons in leadership. You will often here me say, "the grass is definitely greener here," and I truly mean it. The unwavering support and commitment of this organization, especially during my family's challenging times, have been nothing short of extraordinary. Life, however, has its turns that led me to explore additional paths. With my husband's illness, the need to secure our family's future became more pressing. Leaving my role at the credit union was not an option – the love for my job and the organization's commitment to us were irreplaceable. However, the desire to do more for my family's financial security led me down an exciting, parallel path of entrepreneurship. That's when LimeLife by Alcone entered my life – a company whose culture and values resonated deeply with me. They prioritize family, support one another unconditionally, and encourage everyone to confidently chase their goals. Today, I proudly balance my career at the credit union with growing my business at LimeLife, blending my passion for mentorship and team building in both realms. Looking ahead, I am excited about continuing to nurture my dual roles. My journey is a testament to the power of resilience, the importance of supportive communities, and the beauty of pursuing multiple passions. I'm eager to connect with others who are juggling similar paths, or anyone inspired by the blend of corporate roles and entrepreneurial ventures. Here's to embracing every twist and turn life offers and to the promising road ahead! #ReflectingOnTheYear #CorporateAndEntrepreneurialLife #TeamBuilding #Resilience #LookingAhead

I worked at a $35 billion dollar family owned business for 7 years. Here is how they built their company... I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car right out of college from intern to Branch Manager. Running a local Enterprsie branch is like running a small business. You literally get paid off the bottom line. Here are their 8 core values and how they engrain their culture in the company: 1. Our brands are the most valuable things we own. Brand over everything. Do not turn and burn customers, build customers for life. 2. We work hard … and we reward hard work. If you don't want to cap your teams performance, don't cap their pay Tommy Mello 3. Customer service is our way of life. Its just who we are, not what we do. 4. Great things happen when we listen … to our customers and to each other. This is not "our policy" blah blah blah 5. Personal honesty and integrity are the foundation of our success. Do the right thing even when its hard 6. We strengthen our communities – one neighborhood at a time. Running a local service business is truly building employees in the community as well as serving your neighbors. 7. Our company is a fun and friendly place where teamwork rules. We are all in this together! Let's go 8. Our doors are open. You can't grow if you say no, let's book it! I ran a branch for 2 years and was one of the top branch managers in the DMV. These core values were engrained in their culture and are a true testament to building an amazing family-owned business.
