🌟 Advancing Financial Insights through Data Analysis at State Street 🌟 I’m thrilled to share the completion of a pivotal field project for State Street Associates (SSA), the portfolio management research team at State Street, where we explored how key economic indicators, such as inflation rates and interest rate changes, impact asset prices like the S&P 500. This experience has significantly enhanced my understanding of the complex relationship between macroeconomic events and asset prices, a critical aspect of financial analysis today. 📊💼 By leveraging advanced financial models, including the Fama-French five-factor model, and applying machine learning techniques, we aimed to predict market reactions with precision and draw actionable insights. The experience has been instrumental in sharpening my skills in financial modeling, data analysis, and the practical application of machine learning in finance. 📈🤖 I’m incredibly grateful to have had the mentorship of the State Street team Huili Song, & Megan Czasonis, whose guidance and support were invaluable throughout this journey. Their expertise and leadership helped navigate the complexities of our analysis and achieve our project goals. Especially, when you hit social medias and read news headlines, short stories, etc. Indeed, this is also the case reading the financial news streams. Imagine that you could look through this 'fog' when evaluating equities, and with a higher probability observe the true characteristics of an equity/company. That's what we provide with our Jyske Quant concept for the investment process. Today, I'll display the pure quantitative and data-driven characteristics of New York Times Co -CL A (graphics in the comments). A somewhat expensive equity, of favourable Quality and attractive on Momentum. Absolute value is the primary driver behind the low valuation score, while earnings quality and economics of capital are above the global average regarding Quality. Sentiment of analysts is the primary driver of Momentum.
