Obviously I don't have all your expertise ! But some figures concern me! Can you confirm: 🙏 - consumption of heavy fuel : 100T/day... for example for a small to middle vessel... - CO2 emission/day: 250 t ? - CO2 capture by CaO: 750kg/ton ? - capture rate: 30% for example... if it's more, what follows is worse... 😥 - Daily CaO requirement: 100 T... Travel duration: 15 days: 1500 T of CaO.... or 60 TEU... at least... Where did I go wrong ?  So much untransported goods that will have to be put on another vessel... 😏 50 trucks to deliver CaO, 50 trucks to evacuate the CaCO3. I hope they will run on "green" electricity... 😅 I am not talking about the manufacture of lime (calcination of calcium carbonate) which releases CO2, nor the recycling of CaCO3 manufactured "at sea" (calcination again!) to remanufacture lime.... 😭 #greenwashing ? I wonder...
