I, like I would assume most people do, like my fingers, toes and life intact, and I definitely like that for the people around me, so it seems like the “why” of safety for myself and my team should be obvious, but the how is another matter. When working on or around rail as we do on our current project, there are any number of safety issues that can be encountered, most of them catastrophic. Not just to ourselves, but to the public as well. We strive every day to avoid blood on the tracks by adhering to rules and procedures that were all based in responses to previous incidents. Our job is to never let those issues repeat themselves and strive to address new ones before they can happen. #KleinfelderSafety Kleinfelder #SafeAndSoundAtWork

Using unqualified and unauthorized persons for electrical work can have serious and potentially dangerous consequences, including: 1 Safety Hazards: Electrical Fires: Improper installation or faulty wiring can lead to electrical fires, which are a leading cause of house fires. Electrocution: Unqualified individuals are at higher risk of being electrocuted due to a lack of knowledge about safety protocols and proper handling of electrical systems. Injury or Death: Both the person performing the work and occupants of the building are at risk of severe injury or even death from incorrect electrical work. 2.PropertyDamage:Damage to Electrical Systems: Incorrect installations or repairs can damage electrical circuits, appliances, and other parts of the electrical system, leading to costly repairs or replacements. Structural Damage: Electrical fires can cause significant damage to a property, potentially leading to the loss of the building. 3.Legal and Financial : Violation of Building Codes: Electrical work must comply with local building codes and regulations. Unqualified work may violate these codes, leading to fines or legal action. Insurance Issues: Many insurance policies require that electrical work be performed by a licensed professional. If an unqualified person does the work, it may void the insurance coverage, leaving the property owner liable for any damage or injuries. Fines and Penalties: In some jurisdictions, using unlicensed individuals for electrical work can result in fines or penalties for both the property owner and the person performing the work. 4.Reduced Property Value: Lower Market Value: Poor-quality or unsafe electrical work can reduce the market value of a property, making it harder to sell or lease. Costly Inspections and Corrections: If the work needs to be redone or brought up to code, it can result in additional costs for inspections, corrections, and rework. 5. Interruption of Electrical Services: Frequent Outages: Improperly installed electrical systems can cause frequent power outages, disrupting daily life and potentially damaging sensitive electronic devices. Overloading Circuits: Incorrect wiring can overload circuits, leading to blown fuses or tripped breakers, which can be inconvenient and dangerous. 6. Liability Issues: Responsibility for Accidents: If an accident occurs due to faulty electrical work, the property owner or the person who hired the unqualified individual may be held liable for any resulting injuries or damages. Legal Action: In severe cases, such as when unqualified work leads to injury or death, legal action may be taken against the property owner or the individual who performed the work. Overall, using unqualified and unauthorized persons for electrical work is highly risky and can have severe consequences for safety, finances, and legal liability
