SC&RA Focuses on OS/OW Issues… SC&RA attended the Trucking Association Executives Council (TAEC) in Naples, FL where the leaders of all 50 state trucking associations gathered to discuss clean freight, ATA's "Nothing Without Trucking" and predatory towing campaigns, and the latest industry research from ATRI. SC&RA updated TAEC members on the permitting of OS/OW loads carrying disaster and emergency relief commodities in support of nationwide and regional planning and recovery efforts. SC&RA also hosted a working call with members concerned about potential changes to New York City's OS/OW permitting routes. Members can provide initial public comments on these routes to NYCDOT by July 31. Want more info? Contact Chris Smith, [email protected]

Leading towing training organisation. Teaching people to tow trailers, fit towbars and service trailers.
The latest Annual Local Authority Road Maintenance (ALARM) survey reports a critical shortfall of £16.3 billion needed to address extensive issues with potholes and road wear, highlighting a growing problem that directly impacts anyone involved in towing. The survey notes that fewer than half (47%) of the roads in England and Wales are considered to be in good structural condition. With more than 53% of the roads, or over 107,000 miles, facing potential structural failure within the next decade, the implications for trailer towing are severe. What are the road conditions in your area? Does your local council prioritise its roads or do they feel like you're driving down a dirt track? https://zurl.co/YLJs

Bruce Highway Adovacacy 10 -Funding Funding safety upgrades along the northern Bruce was high on NBAGs discussion topics with Federal and State ministers, opposition and minor parties. Funding for the Bruce needs better transparency. Good governance is not being served well given the intergovernmental ambiguity. Here are four of the 13 Questions NBAG has sent to decisionmakers and media. We have 1 response so far. 8. Has Queensland signed a 50/50 land transport funding agreement with the federal government? 9. Is there a specific plan to significantly reduce the FSI crash rate North of Gladstone? 10. On pp1 of the intergovernmental project schedule it allocates $20m from the federal government for Bruce highway duplication strategy. Does this include Gympie to Cairns? 11. Given the difference between freeway FSI crash rates and Bruce highway FSI crash rates what alternative dual lane options are being considered for the northern Bruce in the next 15 years? For Transparency all questions will be published on available platforms. Bart Mellish Anthony Albanese Dale Last Nick Dametto Taha Chaiechi Damian Scanlon Rob McCahill Fiona Lake
