In every generation, from before the founding of this nation, through the Civil War and Black Reconstruction, and throughout the eight tumultuous generations since to the present day, the Christian church has played a key role in influencing political power and racial dynamics in America. The struggle to build a more equitable and Inclusive America for a multiracial multicutural society versus the struggle to sustain the status quo of white power, wealth and influence has always been a war within the Christian church itself. https://lnkd.in/gErABYjV

Cease Fire. thats the post. There are many people who are afraid to say something, and I admit I was one of them. Palestinians have a right to live freely in their homeland. The hostages need to be back already. Mourn the death of the 1400 Israelis, Mourn the Death of the almost 10,000 Palestinians. Stop occupation in the West Bank, and the apartheid state, and yes as a Black woman in America, I completely understand what apartheid is. It's legal segregation by another name. It is a system that my grandparents were born into. My parents only missed it because their parents moved to Ohio prior to them being born. Freeing Palestine, or the Palestinian people does not mean that Violent action should or will be taken toward Israelis. This argument has always been used to keep oppressed people bound. The idea that a people being able to move freely about their nation would mean death to another Ethnic group is the same argument used to uphold Slavery and segregation. "Defenders of slavery argued that if all the slaves were freed, there would be widespread unemployment and chaos. This would lead to uprisings, bloodshed, and anarchy.
