She’s not a typical class pet. She sleeps on a bed of straw and will drink the equivalent of a bathtub of water a day when she's older. Bella is a Holstein calf, and she’s part of the Center for Dairy Excellence's Adopt-a-Cow program funded by a grant from the Schreiber Foundation. “There are a lot of kids in this area who see farms, but they don’t know what happens on them,” said Stephanie Sattazahn, Teacher at Conrad Weiser West Elementary School in Pennsylvania. The Adopt-a-Cow program teaches dairy concepts, while also incorporating reading, writing, science and math. And thanks to private donations and grant opportunities, the program is free for every teacher in all 50 U.S. states. Another 35 children receive hope through a Business Bookfairy 📚🧚♂️ - The counselor shown here 👇🏽 Thank you Gean Van Horn Van Horn and Sargon Eshagh CEO and VP of Marketing at zutBe. for making this possible. Sargon, thank you for personally delivering the books to Fischer Middle School too and supporting The Eastside Education Initiative (EEI). You were one of my first tech leaders at 23 and here we are over 25 years later … giving it back. Beautiful ❤️ Can we get more donors? One classroom at a time, one school at a time … How much? $220 for a classroom set of 35. That’s it 😍 so individuals and companies can all be part of this butterfly effect. Ps: grants ok too 🥰 I want books like this everywhere. Let’s prove that we can build demand backwards - that you the professional, that you a business sees value in HOPE books in schools. So by the time kids are out - we’ve shown them a job pathway option through story. Students need to see us to be us. 4000 books given for FREE to students in a year - for many their first book. We need to scale - if you have a way, reach out. Why so cheap? The cost to you the bookfairy donor is essentially cost but the impact - PRICELESS. ✨I’m aiming for impact✨ Thank you for all your support. Donate here or DM me https://lnkd.in/g2bqNpQ8 This many students get books with a classroom donation 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋 Also … Need chargers, battery packs from some really cool people, check out ZutBe.com Peace and love everyone ✌🏽❤️ #hope #books #nonprofit #education #motivation #jobs

Kali, our Marketing and Outreach Manager, is participating in this year’s Leadership Carroll cohort, and one of the cohort’s projects this year is to support early literacy in our community! They are developing family literacy kits that will be given to new families at Tanner during July. In addition to the kits, the group also wants to generate support for the existing literacy programs in the county. According to Ferst Readers, 37% of children arrive at kindergarten without the skills necessary for lifetime learning. Not only that, but cognitive processes develop rapidly in the first few years of life. By age 3, roughly 85% of the brain is developed. However, traditional education takes place in grades K-12, which begins at age five. Please consider donating to Ferst Readers and the West Georgia Regional Library System's 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program and help support early literacy in our community! Did you know that students living in poverty have, on average, one or fewer books at home to help them practice literacy fluency? 📚 This essential skill is pivotal in their future academic success because, after 3rd grade, students read to learn. Classroom Central's Free Store Bookshelf is packed for every teacher shopping appointment. Teachers can select 10 free books per month, equaling 100 free books every school year for their students to help bridge this gap. Have extra books around the house? We accept gently used books as donations for students! Donate your extra books to us, and we can empower young readers to unlock brighter futures. 💛 #ReadABookDay #ClassroomCentral

It is a remarkable privilege to be able to read, whether it is a natural talent or acquired through hard work. Reading opens up pathways to unexplored worlds, provides entertainment, sparks the imagination, and has numerous positive neurological and psychological benefits for children. Studies indicate that children who are read to from an early age develop greater literacy skills, experience heightened language and communication development, feel more connected to their caregivers, and are better prepared for kindergarten and future academic pursuits. Ardent Solutions is in need of companies and/or individuals looking to make a difference in our community and help support our early childhood development and literacy program. Ardent Solutions is a non-profit organization in Allegany County NY that manages the Dolly Parton Imagination Library for local residents. We are currently providing nearly 50% of the counties 0-5 age youth with age appropriate books every month at no cost to the families. Today, we need your support to continue the program. Any companies interested in partnering please message me and I can get you more details and the incredible marketing package we can provide in exchange for your support. This is a 501c3 organization and donations may be tax deductible. If you can't financially help please share! Celebrate National March into Literacy Month by donating new or gently used books to Moms Helping Moms (board books to level 2 early readers). Availability of books and early shared reading are positive predictors of reading success. Did you know? 📙61% of low-income families have no books in their home 🏡 In middle income neighborhoods, the ratio of books per child is 13:1. In low-income neighborhoods that drops to 1:300. 🎓1 in 6 kids who do not read proficiently by 3rd grade will not graduate on time. Learn more at https://lnkd.in/ePErzwwB

Broken pencils. Wadded up homework assignments. Books, crayons … and is that a chewed piece of gum? Or is that something much worse? Around this time every year, our students manage to cram all sorts of detritus into their backpacks each day, only to bring it home to play the worst game of “Guess what this is” when they get home. Too often we forget: Some of those students might be going back to school with no backpack at all. It’s why we’re proud each year to take part in Denver United Church’s annual backpack drive. Families who could use help giving their young students needed tools for learning get help from their communities to hit the ground reading when they report back to their classrooms. There are dozens of similar events around the metro area (just a few examples Denver Public Schools Foundation, Mile High United Way, and Kenzi's Causes). We’re thankful for the volunteers, donations, and students so they can begin each year with the tools for success. The donations aren’t just help; they’re also investments in our community so that tomorrow’s leaders can successfully learn today. https://conta.cc/4cyHp6g
