The School District of Philadelphia reposted this
So grateful to the City of Philadelphia and Mayor Cherelle Parker for an additional $240 million for The School District of Philadelphia over 5 years. This exemplary funding will allow us to continue improving and accelerating academic achievement, support the extended day and extended year pilot program in 20 schools during the 2024-25 school year, and relaunch Parent and Family University as we move toward becoming the fastest-improving large urban school district in the nation.
Keep up the great work that will improve education in the City of Philadelphia. Tony B. Watlington Sr., Ed.D. Here is the link to my student success/parent resources http://www.DrJonesbooks.com
Keep up the great work, Philadelphia. You’re making all the right moves to be the fastest-improving large urban school district in the nation.
Fantastic that you received the funding for such meaningful programs that will impact not only students, but families.
This is awesome. Our school system needs this. Thank you, Mayor Parker.
This is a great step forward to paving the way for not only Philly children’s success, but Philly families!

Congratulations! It's wonderful to see a school district receiving more money to help them improve!
I have a EEOC complaint against this school district…
Special Education Teaching Assistant at The School District of Philadelphia
2mo$240 MILLION and yet they refuse to pay us Special Ed Assistant a salary that we can actually live on to pay rent, bills and groceries. I get paid $36K BEFORE TAXES and out of curiosity I asked one of my coworkers that has been in the same position as me but for about 8 years longer than I have and she gets paid the same. It’s insane. Tony Watlington is just like every other Philly School District leader before him, not caring about the people that truly keep the schools running, unlike them at 440 that don’t do anything and yet have much better salaries.
