The Imprint's annual project Who Cares: A National Count of Foster Homes and families is the nation’s first public resource on foster care capacity. The Imprint collects data directly from each state, and combines that with specially obtained federal reports to shed light on two critical questions: How many kids are in #fostercare today? And where are they living? This data collection project takes countless hours of submitting records requests and doing in-depth research. We can't continue this without your support. Will you consider making a donation today so we can continue to provide this important and informative data?

Not Asking For Much, Just Your Voice, Our Deadline Is Near... #BetterNorthBridge #NCHAS #CharlestonSC #HolyCity #RideBikes If you see people biking or walking across the North Bridge and think to yourself: "that is horrific, someone should do something," here's your sign to change the situation. Or, if you've yet to ever cross the North Bridge, imagine walking along a 2' median in between oncoming traffic traveling 50+ mph, and weaving around bollards. Sound horrific? Here's your sign to change the situation. We need letters of support from organizations for Charleston County's federal grant application for Better North Bridge. Organizations can be businesses, nonprofits, houses of worship, clubs, civic associations, neighborhood associations, schools, or government agencies. Who do you know? Can you reach or give me a contact so I may do so? If you are connected to any of these things, please get a letter of support for Better North Bridge now! Reach out to us for a template at Info @CharlestonMoves.org. The deadline to send this signed copy back to us is February 23. We want 200 letters, and currently have 93. Helping us with support letters is the easiest opportunity to actually address this deadly crossing.

#GivingTuesday is underway and we are off to an amazing start! We are floored by the level of giving, and by the warmth of the good wishes that come with them. We are so grateful that the Kids’ Chance mission resonates so deeply. Even if you never experienced a workplace injury or death in your family, it is easy to imagine how overwhelming it must be – the grief of losing a loved one, compounded by so much financial uncertainty. Suddenly, dreams of a future – education, careers – are like so many pages ripped from a book, chapters that may never see the light of day. Until Kids’ Chance steps in. Your Giving Tuesday gift to Kids’ Chance is an opportunity to repair some of the financial damage caused by a workplace tragedy. Today is your chance to give every Kids’ Chance student a chance. Let’s fund a scholarship today! Join us with your gift: https://lnkd.in/gdy-DyYU #KidsChance #scholarships #workerscompensation

Spreading dollars. Getting back change. Mecklenburg County's American Rescue Plan Act funds are helping 75 local organizations transform our community. Every cent multiplies, reaching and helping many neighbors. From streets to neighborhoods and homes. That's #TheMeckEffect. Together they're tackling important issues like: - Affordable Housing and Homelessness; - Behavioral Health and Health Equity; - Childcare and Early Childcare Development; - Parks, Environment and Infrastructure; - Workforce and Economic Development. Some of these organizations include Pineville Neighbors Place, which has helped over 190 households with rental support (averaging about $1,100 per household). Additionally, The Summer Camp Fund provides summer camp scholarships to low-income children and so far have helped more than 1,100 kids! Follow the impact at TheMeckEffect.MeckNC.gov
