Southern California Edison (SCE)’s Post

Fall may be around the corner, but Southern California is bracing for high temperatures again through this week, with weather experts forecasting another round of consecutive days of 100-plus degree weather. “We have our crews and various field resources available to respond if outages occur during this latest round of heat waves,” said Thomas Jacobus, SCE’s principal manager of Business Resiliency. “Our teams are also on alert in case of any fire or emergency that could occur due to these high temperatures.” Get energy-saving and heat wave safety tips, as well as cooling center information: https://on.sce.com/3AM9Z7k

That's concerning! I'm curious, how are SCE's crews preparing for potential outages during this heat wave?

I am writing to express my serious concerns about SCE’s performance during recent heat waves. The blackouts we’ve experienced during these critical times are unacceptable and pose serious health risks. Given the high rates we pay and the changes in net metering that seem to favor the utility, it is crucial that SCE ensures reliable service, especially during extreme weather. The current level of service is falling short of expectations and needs immediate improvement. As a customer, I expect SCE to take responsibility and enhance its preparedness to prevent future disruptions. The safety and reliability of your service must be a top priority. Thank you for addressing this urgent issue.

It would be amazing to work for you guys and master the craft
