When companies are looking to hire staff frequently, it can mean one of two things : They are busy and growing or They have a high staff turnover. I don't work with companies that have a high staff turnover. So, this company must be busy and growing. Yay. We like this. We also like that it is based in Palmerston- so, for all you Levin based people that aren't keen on commuting any more, or even Kapiti based folk for whom Transmission Gully's charms is waning - this is a role that can take your career in a few different directions. Universal Packaging is also large enough to offer career progression but small enough that you will be looked after and noticed for your efforts. If you know a capable Service Coordinator working for a small team that wants more of a challenge - then here it is ! Feel free to bandy this around as liberally as you please. Share with your network. Go on. Fill your boots. #servicecoordinator #careeropportunities #growingbusiness #professionalrecruitmentalwaysbetter https://lnkd.in/eMydMqmR

Calling a recruitment consultant is stage 1 of the interview process. So, don't call me Sharon or Cheryl. My name is Sarah. Be prepared - What job are you calling about and why? Most of all - Especially if you are in sales or customer services - show me why ! 🎆 Dazzle me with your personality, enthusiasm and ability to connect . 🎉 I want to help you find a job or a better job, but it's my job to screen for the very best for my clients. 😁 So, turn it on. Don't assume I know it's there. Thanks for the morning inspiration Leighanne McAleer. Sorry your ears are being so bashed with despondency. #dazzleonthephone #recruitment #screeningforthebest.

I just LOVE working with candidates who are 100% committed to the job they have applied for. Saddo that I am, it just thrills me. A chap wearing a suit and tie for an interview. A chap on his way an hour earlier than needed. The same chap researching the business, following up, asking great questions and providing everything I ask for. From an absolutely selfish perspective, it's so much more rewarding. #cheapthrills #fingerscrossed

Once bitten, twice shy. This can apply to everything, right ? We see it with relationships of all sorts. It also applies to employers after a bad experience.(or two) ❎ It can be the right person but at the wrong time. (for them) ❎ It can be someone who achieved in a similar market but just doesn't gel there ❎ Life can get in the way - Often someone's personal circumstances can impact work. How do we resolve this ? ❎ No business wants churn in any role. ✅ We spend (By we, I mean, me) the time figuring out what worked, what didn't and what we need to focus on this time. ✅ We take time. No rushing decisions. No pushing. #Nottransactionalrecruitment. #takingtimetogetitright

I partied like it was 1999 on Saturday night. It was my Dad's 80th - in 1999, I was pregnant with my son but this Saturday we did party until midnight. (Just) We had karaoke. (My Dad can still bust out " I did it my way. " Sadly, he is the only one of us who can really sing.) We had touching and funny speeches. We laughed, laughed and laughed some more. We laughed even more the next day watching the videos. It was a small affair. Just the family. ( Still 22 people) However, what really made it me for the very first time ever, we had a family dinner catered. Every Christmas day and family event is marked by photos of Mum and I in the kitchen. Aprons on. ( I'm still searching for my own - " Queen of f*cking everything apron) Yes, everyone helps, but it's a lot of work. So, a massive think you to Mark from Blue Carrot Catering. He came, he cooked, he cleaned up. Incredible. Not an apron shot for this gal. #Notrecruitmentrelated #Ihopeimstillsingingwhenim80

How much input should your recruitment consultant have in your hiring decisions ? There are many variables, but for me it is determined as follows : 📢 It depends on how well I know the business, their goals and the personalities involved. 📢 It depends on the relationship I have with the hiring managers. ☄ We present the information, do our due diligence, discuss the pros and cons but ultimately the decision is the hiring managers. ☔ In saying that, I have have withdrawn people from the recruitment process and I will always voice any reservations I have. 🔮 💭 It may 'cost me' a placement fee but it's an old fashioned conscience thing. 💚 The businesses I work with are ones I have worked with for a long time and always exclusively.(They work exclusively with me.) Once you know someone well, you can speak frankly - it's also about being personally invested in the success of that placement and their business. 🚗 This methodology won't buy my red Audi, that's for sure. 🎯 I tend to work on fewer roles with fewer businesses - so it's not transactional. 🎲 It's thorough - not a gamble ( see what I did with my emoji ? I'm nailing my socials) 💚 This is my choice and how I chose to run my business. #Boutiquerecruitment #qualityoverquantity #recruitment

A recruitment consultant is a recruitment consultant. We specialise in the recruitment process. An employment lawyer is an employment lawyer - and ne'er the twain shall meet. The minute things start to get tricky, it's not my job to muddy the waters by providing legal advice. I'm not an employment lawyer. I am a recruitment consultant. Most recruitment consultants have a solid overview of employment law but we do not and should not provide legal advice. Not to mention the fact that we are not well placed to be impartial. It's a slippery slope that I am not equipped to traverse. #Recruitmentspecialist. #Stickingtomyknitting

Never assume. This applies to the CV writer and the CV reader. CV writer - never assume that the CV reader knows about the companies you have worked for and the job titles on your CV. CV Reader - If you don't know for sure. Ask the question. Never assume. CV Writer - Use bullet points to highlight your main responsibilities and achievements. Don't assume you will be asked about them. CV Reader - Ask for clarification about what the responsibilities actually involve and achievements associated with that. I could go on. But I won't I have hundreds of CV's to read on behalf of my clients. They are too busy managing their businesses to screen CV's, short list and interview. That's not an assumption, that's a fact. #AvoidRecruitmentassumptions #Professionalrecruitmentalwysbetter
