Happy Global #EarthDay on April 22!! This year, Global Earth Day 2024's theme "Planet vs. Plastics", calls to advocate for widespread awareness on the health risk of plastics and rapidly phase out all single use plastics. To raise awareness about the importance of protecting our planet, #enworld team once again, partnered with the local non-profit group "Tokyo River Friends" to collect trash at Arakawa River on Sunday morning. Thank you to all the volunteers who dedicated their time and effort. Let's think about the #environment and take care of our #planet! So glad to have had the opportunity again to partner with Hands On Tokyo and support aspirational professionals with challenges with their career growth. As a huge advocate for DE&I, it’s important to understand everyone’s strengths and limitations to find a way to enable their success. Huge thanks to my sempai Rika Kato for coordinating this year so succinctly. 🎉
This year, #enworld once again partnered with 認定NPO法人 Hands On Tokyo to take part in the Life Skills program. Rika Kato of en world, who is a certified Career Consultant, led a seminar for participants with disabilities to guide them in writing resumes and help them prepare for their job searches. Consultants from en world then held individual sessions with the participants to offer feedback on actual resumes and engage in discussions to assist them in advancing their careers in Japan. We were delighted to have the opportunity to aid these participants with disabilities in tackling the challenge of transitioning to a new career. Our collaboration with Hands On Tokyo, commenced three years ago when we first provided online English lessons to children with disabilities. Our volunteer work can help people to develop different skills that lead to establishing a real sense of achievement, which is strongly aligned with our mission of #enablingsuccess.
