A human rights-based approach is essential to promote awareness and advocacy. To empower marginalized groups, Civil Society and human rights bodies must identify and educate them on their rights and help them claim them. For persons with disabilities and LGBTQIA+ individuals, community awareness is crucial as they face exclusion and discrimination in their communities, including in education, employment, and healthcare. These marginalized groups also face barriers to accessing formal financial services such as banking, savings accounts, and credit. Adequate financing for disability-relevant services and support is critical to ensure that these individuals have an equal opportunity to participate in society. Let's continue working towards a world where everyone's rights are respected and protected. #HumanRights #Equality #DiversityandInclusion

We are excited to introduce the 3️⃣ third cartoon in our Push*Back*Lash cartoon series. This latest piece was created by artist Gabi Lipska in collaboration with Dr. Dr Magda (lena) Szarota of Humanity in Action. 👏. It builds on research and firsthand experiences with disability, reflecting the political stance of the disability movement: that centering people with disabilities—the world's largest and most diverse minority—is crucial not just for their rights but for the quality of democracies as a whole. 🏛️ Hence, the cartoon encourages viewers to rethink disability and diversity, learn quick accessibility tips, and engage in deeper reflection on the principles of "nothing about us without us" and "nothing without us." What do these mottos mean? How do they differ? What assumptions do they challenge? Download the material in English or Polish here 👉https://lnkd.in/dCmhB6VM The cartoon is also available for sharing. Please 📦 distribute it widely within your networks! #PushBackLash #DisabilityRights #CartoonSeries #DiversityMatters #AccessibilityTips #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs #DisabilityMovement #HumanRights #Inclusion #PoliticalCartoon #Democracy #SocialJustice #Equality
