My new article has been published in the March-April issue of the European Go Journal. This time, I write about the Ear-reddening Game, one of the most famous games in go history, as well as Michal Martychowiec’s art project “Reading History” that features it. Using these topics I draw parallels between the game of go and interpretation of history depicted in the modern art. #go #game #strategy #history #modernart

Hello everyone! Just wanted to share my recent experience cohosting a talk on the 50 years of D&D in the recent BANG festival. I want to thank BANG for hosting this event, André Filipe Silva for cohosting with me, and Danny Rangel (from Arena Porto) for inviting me to talk about one of my greatest passions! We were tasked with showcasing D&D's legacy along the last 50 years with a casual and positive conversation for a maximum of one hour. I think we were quite successful in fulfilling the requirement, as each theme was addressed with a pleasant back and forth. I had to do some research of my own, reading on the different editions, their direction, how they evolved, and how they influenced their community/audience, and those in turn influenced more RPGs and videogames. I didn't have any first-hand experience of the first editions, but that's nothing a relaxed conversation with older coleagues and peers couldn't solve (thank you for the stories and insights, bryan griffiths and Peter Mack). It was very interesting to learn of D&D's origins. How players enamoured by the games and stories would make video games, like Ultima, which would then influence new generations of RPGs around the world. The game's history also brought new context to the new 2024 edition. It is, in fact, a repetition of previous successes. This new publication readjusts, and centralizes mechanics while providing new content compatible with the last 10 years of the game. It clearly follows the footsteps of what Advanced D&D did for the 1st edition and 3.5 for the 3rd edition.

Find The Differences https://lnkd.in/dbWPhK9E For inquisitive visitors of our site we are pleased to present a new puzzle game - Find The Differences. This game will allow each player to test his attentiveness and intelligence. On the screen you will see a playing field divided into two parts, each of which contains a certain image. At first it seems that they are absolutely identical, but in fact they are different from each other. You need to carefully examine both images and as soon as you find an element missing on one of them, click on it with your mouse. Thus, you mark this element and get points for it. Your task is to find all the differences within the allotted time.
