Pleasant and Productive We’ve been attending White Nights Conf for years, and this year is no different! We’re excited to connect, chat, and meet new people. Let’s make it happen! :) Last year (and this isn’t an ad, promise!), we met some fantastic folks from Balancy. We quickly hit it off, signed a contract, and couldn’t be happier with the partnership. I really hope they feel the same! Their platform has been a game-changer for us, making it easy to manage server-client interactions, from launching offers and events to segmenting users (whales, dolphins, etc.) and sending custom push notifications. A few years back, we tried building a similar system in-house. We spent about two years and over $100k but we didn’t even come close to the features Balancy offers now. And their solution is way more affordable. It was a great lesson for us: before diving into a big infrastructure project, it’s always worth checking out what’s already out there. Chances are, there’s something just as good, if not better, and it’ll probably save you a lot of money. We’re looking forward to this year’s conference being just as awesome and productive. Networking as a student is so out of my comfort zone. Going and striking a conversation with random people in various industries is something I find both difficult and enjoyable at the same time. One thing which these events really help in is to build the skill of active listening. When I first started attending networking events, I felt overwhelmed by the prospect of approaching professionals and engaging in meaningful conversations. The fear of saying the wrong thing or not being able to keep up with the discussion often held me back. However, as I attended more events and forced myself out of my comfort zone, I began to realize the value of active listening. Active listening isn't just about hearing what someone says; it's about fully understanding their perspective, thoughts, and emotions. In a networking setting, it's crucial for building rapport, establishing connections, and learning from others' experiences. I'm excited to continue honing my active listening skills and building meaningful connections in the vibrant community of professionals on LinkedIn and beyond!
