Business Development Manager at Timberlab

The City of Medford, OR, opened Rogue X earlier this year. The new natatorium and community center is now serving the public and showing off the inherent beauty of #masstimber. The unique space was designed by PERKINS & WILL ARCHITECTS, INC., engineered by Holmes Solutions and the General Contractor was PENCE CONSTRUCTION, INC.. Timberlab provided design assistance and installation for the 140,000 square foot structure. This included 30 #glulam columns, 15 hybrid bowstring trusses, and 88 #crosslaminatedtimber panels. The feature piece of the space is a 110 foot span clearing the pool area and integrating in with the larger structure. Impressive structual spans! The project could be a great future precedent that wood (mass timber) can coexist with water (humidity). Were any additional products applied to the deck besides stain or additional MEP strategies utilized to regulate humidity levels?
