Today is R U OK? Day. The annual event encourages regular conversations and to ask 'R U OK?' any day because a conversation could change a life. Our teams at Booragul and Warabrook dressed up in yellow and enjoyed a number of activities to support this important initiative. Here at Newcastle Anglican, we want to empower our people to meaningfully connect with each other. "This shouldn't just be a focus today; fostering a culture of care and support needs to happen every day," Diocesan Chief Executive John Barriga said. "Let's make it a regular practice to check in with our colleagues, clients, family and teams. A small conversation can make a big difference." I'm on a panel at this forum next week, to talk about how we deal with the risk of modern slavery in renewable energy supply chains. As the forum will show, this is not a challenge unique to renewable energy, but our industry needs to be part of a solution to this global problem. Looking forward to the discussion.

📝 Dignity should be at the core of delivering aid, but too often, people in need face indignity. Pulte Institute for Global Development and IDinsight's Dignity Initiative propose a Dignity Agenda that responds directly to the life experiences of aid recipients. In their #PolicyBrief, they highlight the most pressing improvements needed to respect dignity. These include: 1️⃣ In-person meetings with recipients 2️⃣ Supporting community-based organizations to speak up 3️⃣ Co-design workshops with recipients before implementation. 📝 Read our recommendations in detail ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gf6pywD5
