We're pleased to have participated in the 43rd annual congress of the BELGIAN SOCIETY OF CARDIOLOGY, the largest cardiology event in Belgium. This congress was a great opportunity for our Cardiovascular Team to connect and exchange with clinicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to reimagine the approach of tackling cardiovascular diseases together. For years, thanks to the enormous advances in research and medicine, science and medical innovation have transformed the treatment pathways, quality of life and have even saved the lives of many people living with a cardiovascular disease. Working together to tackle life-impacting diseases and silent killers like atherosclerosis is critical. That’s our commitment at Novartis Belux. We are determined, not only to advance in R&D and find treatments that can increasingly improve the lives of people, but also to reimagine cardiovascular care thanks to collaboration with all stakeholders in the health ecosystem. Only together can we achieve better patient outcomes so that people with cardiovascular diseases do not have to give up on their plans and dreams. #NovartisTogether #CVD #ASCVD #HealthierFuture #HeartHealth

🎉 **Great News in Asthma Research!** 🎉 Dr. Sarah Svenningsen, Assistant Professor in the McMaster University Department of Medicine, has been awarded a nearly $1 million CIHR grant for a groundbreaking three-year study. This collaborative effort, titled "Therapeutic Relevance of Abnormal Airway Morphology in Asthma (AirPATH Study)," seeks to transform asthma management through advanced MRI and CT imaging techniques. The research will explore the impact of airway structural abnormalities on the efficacy of asthma medications. 🔍 The team, featuring Professors Parameswaran Nair, Ehsan Haider, and Terence Ho, aims to uncover how these abnormalities influence responses to inhaled and oral therapies, potentially leading to enhanced treatment strategies. 👏 Congratulations to Dr. Svenningsen and her colleagues on this pivotal achievement, which holds promise for advancing asthma treatment and understanding. #AsthmaResearch #CIHRFunding #MedicalImaging #HealthcareInnovation

A most excellent application for AI.
Age-adjusted mortality rate from cardiovascular disease has increased by 4% in the U.S. between 2022 and 2023. With heart disease a growing issue in the U.S., we must work with healthcare professionals to leverage innovation toward tackling the associated care delivery challenges. This is why I am proud to officially announce Aidoc’s collaboration with the American College of Cardiology to work together on driving cardiac patient care forward by combining one of the most respected organizations’ clinical guidance and vision with innovation. I couldn’t be more humbled and thrilled to have the opportunity to work with visionary ACC leadership on this. Looking forward to what we can do together. #healthcareai #heartmonth #healthcareinnovation #cardiology #cardiovascular

With my colleagues, I would like to introduce you to our textbook intended for medical students and doctors starting to work in the fields of respiratory medicine and tuberculosis. You will find many interesting chapters in it, such as asthma, COPD, lung cancer, and interstitial lung diseases, but also unique chapters not normally found in textbooks, such as cor pulmonale chronicum, sleep-disordered breathing, sleep apnea, and hypoventilation syndromes. In the chapter on respiratory failure, you will find practical examples of pathological findings in blood gases according to the cause of their occurrence. We believe the book will find readers, feel free to share it, as it is completely free. You can download it at the following link: https://lnkd.in/eNnthC2S
