It is trauma season, and we need your help! At our Idaho and Oregon hospitals, we rely on a steady supply of blood donations to save lives, and every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. is in need of blood or platelets. On August 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. the American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive at our Boise campus to support this vital community need. Schedule your appointment to donate today at https://lnkd.in/gW3ZqFR8. #ourcallingisyou #idahoblooddonors # traumaseason

Last week, we donated much-needed blood to Lifeblood as part of our campaign #bloodunites with First Nation Engineering and Carey Group. Inspired by Eleanor Roosevelt's words: "It is not fair to ask of others what you are not willing to do yourself." Our team has rallied 13 volunteers, including Graeme Wilmot our Business Development Manager, who learned donating blood is more than just a procedure—it's an act of compassion and hope. Graeme's experience, which lasted less than 10 minutes, showed that even with free Wi-Fi and TVs to distract you, you can still make a lifesaving impact. Why are we doing this? Every donation matters, especially for cancer patients who rely on blood products. Did you know that in WA, our blood stock only covers 7-8 days of need? Your donation can change that. Let's make a difference together. Your pint of blood can save lives and strengthen our bonds of unity. #BloodUnites us all. 🩸 #bloodunites #BloodTranscends #FirstNationEngineering #FNE #CreatingNewHorizons #CriticalMinerals #Resources #Government #Investment #Project #GrowthMindset #RenewableEnergy #AustralianMining #WAEngineering #IndigenousLeadership

Young people, it’s time to donate blood. From cancer patients to car accidents, there is a never-ending need for blood, and your donation can save a life. Worryingly, donations have plummeted among young people by as much as 40%, according to the Red Cross. This is unsustainable, and we need to dispel myths and get people motivated to sign up. Learn why donating blood isn’t as big a deal as you may think. #BloodDonation #RedCross #StoryMD #StoryMDHealth https://str.md/nODBJP

Last fall, when we opened The Domino’s Village at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, I was profoundly moved knowing that this milestone was made possible through the generosity and extraordinary kindness of our customers across the country. Today, as we share that over $16 million was donated to St. Jude in 2023, I am reminded of that deep sense of gratitude. This remarkable achievement is a testament to our purpose to Feed the Power of Possible – where spare change and small donations, taken collectively, have provided a home and support for countless families bravely battling childhood cancer. I am immensely grateful to our customers, franchisees, and to St. Jude for their leadership in the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer. Together, we are making a difference, one pizza - and one donation - at a time. #Dominos #StJude #FeedThePowerOfPossible

This month we asked all our team to put forward charities meaningful to them personally and then sent each Charity around £300: St Peters Hospice https://lnkd.in/drwsZxj Sobell House Oxford https://sobellhouse.org/ Cassington Playground Appeal https://lnkd.in/gAm-RcSr Tiny Tickers https://lnkd.in/g4xvuDW Stroud Womens Refuge https://lnkd.in/eW5Qx-XR Prostate Cancer https://lnkd.in/gU4cmZQ Fareshare https://lnkd.in/e-KcMAg Mentoring Plus https://mentoringplus.net/ Why you may ask? (apart from us being lovely people) It’s because we don’t accept commission from any of the companies we recommend at Accurise – we never have done. When we recommend a service to our clients we want them to be certain that we are doing it because we like the service and we think it’s a good fit for them – not because we are being paid to recommend it. When we are approached with offers like that we just ask instead that they offer our clients the best possible prices, but sometimes it doesn’t work like that and our choice is to take the money or not. When that happens, we collect it up and donate it to charity instead. So next time someone recommends a product or service, ask them what they are getting out of it - and if it’s because they genuinely think it’s the best product for you. #partnernotasupplier

Childhood and pediatric cancer can wreak havoc on not only the child, but the entire family. In fact, divorce is often an unfortunate outcome. #CircleofCare can help. If you've been fortunate enough to not have been through this, please visit https://circleofcare.org to learn how to contribute.
I am so fortunate to be part of the staff of Circle of Care which celebrated 20 years of helping families of children with cancer at our recent fundraising gala. Thank u to our sponsors, volunteers and donors for supporting our programs and services to those in these photos and many more! Circle of Care for families of children with cancer

Vestibular schwannomas, or acoustic neuromas, are tumors that grow on the nerves responsible for balance and hearing. In individuals with NF2, these tumors can be particularly challenging, often leading to hearing loss and balance problems. Let's raise awareness about the significance of vestibular schwannomas in NF2. By understanding their impact, we can better support those affected and work towards effective treatments. You can make a difference! Your donation can fund vital research into NF2 and vestibular schwannomas, bringing hope to individuals and families facing this rare disease. Donate now and join us in the fight against NF2: https://buff.ly/3SWE6OD https://buff.ly/4c35L9w Together, we can make a difference and pave the way for a brighter future for NF2 patients. 💙 #RareDiseaseDay #NF2Awareness
