This year's observance of Ramadan began at sundown on Sunday, March 10. As we enter the global, month-long observance of Ramadan, Favorite Healthcare Staffing would like to take a moment to acknowledge this important time for our Muslim colleagues and friends. Ramadan is a sacred month on the Islamic calendar, marked by fasting, prayer, reflection, and community. During Ramadan, Muslims typically observe fasting from dawn to sunset. That includes refraining from food, drink, smoking, and certain activities. This fasting is not only a physical practice, but it’s also a spiritual one, aimed at fostering self-discipline, empathy for those in need, and a deeper connection with one's faith. As a company committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, it is essential that we at Favorite create an environment where everyone feels respected, supported, and valued. It's my first day of 2.5 weeks time off. Naturally, what do I do? Things I don't normally do. Swim? Sunbathing? Of course not. I get super agitated by toxic attitudes shared via a supposed feminist business portal from Motherland Croatia. The supposed expert here claims in this article that the only reason people want remote work is that they see others doing it. Imagine, this is a person who's promoting themselves as a - get this - HUMAN RESOURCES expert. Without further ado, suffice it to say that remote work (which is Croatian, not 'remote work', which excludes non-English speakers), definitely has numerous positive effects on people with a number of different disabilities. And thus it has positive effects for everyone else as well. But our aunt Tanja is obviously not interested in that, because she probably does not see people with disabilities as people with parity on the labor market.
