🏀 Celebrating Personal Wins and Building Confidence 🏀 Over the weekend, we witnessed our daughter score her first points in basketball. She’s a great defensive player. Often the youngest in her team, she learned quickly to play to her strengths and be the player to get the ball to her team mates. But she’s also been working really hard on her shooting and has just lacked the confidence to go for a shot mid-game. The last couple of games she has started making a few attempts with the encouragement of her coach and team mates. In the first two minutes of the game, I turned to my husband and said “she’s going to have a great game today. I can tell she’s in the zone”. It was unbelievably thrilling to see her take her first shot and sink it in. And then she followed it up immediately after with another one! She had a great overall game and the girls won 27-4, but that first time achieving something she’s been trying so hard to master - I think that was the highlight for everyone! One of our principles at Mantel Group is “Love what you do and be awesome at it”. This is really key to driving a fantastic learning culture where we have the freedom and ability to continue to master our craft, but also openly share our expertise and knowledge to teach and coach others. It also flows through to how we recognise and acknowledge each other’s attempts, successes and ability to overcome challenges in our weekly shout outs on Slack. It’s amazing what a personal win will do for our confidence and how much that can feed into more and more successes. And it is especially satisfying when our team mates can celebrate our successes with us. We had an incredible day at our first annual company meeting for 2024! 🌟 It was a day filled with team bonding, learning, and celebrating our successes. 30,734 kilometers in a month. That's the mileage I flew in just a month. It's a milestone as I haven't had marathon flying for more than a decade. I must admit it's enervating yet exciting. Exciting because every kick-off is different. In Asia, we say "same-same but different"! It's East-meets-West energy, innovation, and collaboration set against the backdrop of vibrant cultures and dynamic markets. Haworth, being a global leader in workspace solutions, surely knows how to craft a memorable kick-off experience tailored to the diverse needs and aspirations of our Asia Pacific teams from countries like Australia, China, India, Japan, Singapore, and beyond. It's wrapped up now, and I conclude with three letters: I.C.E. I = Inspiration. No Haworth kick-off would be complete without a healthy dose of inspiration. We did it!! I am so very proud of us!! 🎉 How many times have you thought, 'Someone should do something about that,' only to move on with your day? That happens to me all the time and I may get as far as starting the conversation but with my busy schedule, too often I drop the ball. But this time, I couldn't let it slide. Two years back, in a chat with Steffi Freedman (@freedmanteamrealtors), we discussed the need for real estate agents to thrive despite life's interruptions. Often, it would’ve been too easy to stop the conversation, drop the ball and let it go but in the true spirit of “she persisted“ we refused to let it go! the program has been developed, and, as of yesterday, our program is live! 🚀 our hope is that this program makes it’s way across all markets! The 3 underrated skills that helped us grow SixTwentySix into a creative studio that has brought 500+ projects to life: 1. Tenacity Starting a business isn’t easy. You’ve probably heard it a million times, but it’s true. Austin and I had to deal with a steep learning curve, but we were so fired up about the work that we were doing, it didn’t matter. Our tenacity kept us going through all of the declined pitches, ops changes, and rookie mistakes. 2. Ignorance Speaking of rookie mistakes… the best part of starting out as young founders is that we didn’t feel bound to rules that have existed for decades, because we didn’t know them. Our “ignorance” was more like a new perspective. And it wound up winning us a bunch of clients who appreciated that. 3. A cultural pulse Our north star has always been cultural relevance. The moment we stop understanding culture, we lose our connection to the audience. I think it takes a lot of new founders a while to carve out their niche. Ours was defined from day one, and we ran with it. What underrated skill was essential to the growth of your career or business?

It is time to celebrate my first year at FREENOW for Business! 🎉 It is also time to take a step back.
