The impact of AI and virtual care services on the behavioral health landscape is poorly understood. Bill Siwicki with Healthcare IT News and I unpack some of the early success stories. This is not only a topic I'm deeply passionate about, but also one that I think is increasingly critical as technology evolves and as health systems work to address the immense demand for behavioral health care. By leveraging AI risk models to enable more efficient risk stratification, healthcare organizations can streamline their behavioral health workflows and ensure the patients who need care first receive care first. If your organization is thinking through how you might be able to enable your behavioral health service lines by embracing proven virtual support, like telehealth, as well as emerging technologies like AI, I hope you'll give this interview a read -- or, please feel free to reach out to me directly to keep the conversation going. https://lnkd.in/gduDfiGJ #healthcare #ai #behavioralhealth #virtualcare

I'm proud to be working on a solution where the true north star is helping people find meaningful healing. Doubly proud that we're doing this with some pretty cool tech innovations. We're putting AI in action to support providers in delivering value-based behavioral healthcare. Technology allows us to leapfrog over barriers that were previously insurmountable and to track outcomes and deliver evidence-based modalities with fidelity. In making it easier for providers to help the patients they're serving our aim is to also help them to heal from the burnout and administrative burden they've faced in this industry. We're entering a new era in healthcare, and I think it's a pretty bright one for both providers and patients. #aihealthcare #behavioralhealth #mentalhealth https://lnkd.in/ePx2UrJW

Women’s health is most certainly not one-size-fits-all and AI can help understand discrepancies in access and care among all subpopulations. Trey Sutten and Molly Huffstetler Dean co-authored an article in Medical Economics that highlights President Biden's initiative to enhance women's health research through AI and in doing so, what kind of guardrails should be put up to prevent gender health inequities. These tools can provide a deep situational awareness for often overlooked health and social-related needs (HSRN) which include: 🌎 Cultural context 📖 Education level and health literacy 🏡 Living environment 🚗 Transportation capabilities 💰 Employment status ... and many other components that impact women’s health outcomes. With the Specialist combines medical expertise with technological innovation. Trust in a solution created by doctors, for doctors, and revolutionize your approach to neurological care.
The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in health and wellness technology is expanding, promising innovative solutions to improve our well-being. While AI-enabled apps and devices offer novel ways to track health metrics, their impact on overall health outcomes remains to be fully realized. In clinical settings, AI is seen as a valuable diagnostic tool, potentially detecting diseases like cancer earlier and saving lives. However, mainstream adoption of AI health tracking in consumer wellness is still uncertain, with concerns about accuracy and interpretation of data. Novel AI-driven apps like Together by Renee aim to streamline health management by using AI to monitor vital signs and mental fitness, offering insights into conditions like high blood pressure and anxiety. Similarly, Hyfe AI's CoughTracker app demonstrates AI's potential in identifying health patterns, although its accuracy may vary. In emergency departments, AI models are aiding in quicker diagnoses of heart attacks, showcasing AI's transition from research to practical medical applications. Ultimately, the usefulness of AI in healthcare hinges on individuals' actions and interpretations of the data provided, emphasizing the importance of informed decision-making and behavior change for better health outcomes. #aiinhealthcare With the Specialist combines artificial intelligence with a board certified neurologist to enhance neurological care in the primary care setting. #withthespecialist #neurology #artificialintelligenceinhealthcare https://lnkd.in/gNDvK9ei https://lnkd.in/gExrwg2P

At #ausmedtech2024 we’re considering the use of #ai in #imaging with a panel of Alison Deslandes Dr Michelle Perugini Wenjie Pang and Mark Phillips moderated by Ludovic Labat : ⭐️ optimising workflow for clinicians ⭐️ highlighting details that may be hard to catch even by an expert…with resulting benefits to the patient in earlier identification eg of lung cancer, resulting in patients having more options for treatment 🤝 democratising healthcare through combining ai with handheld devices to reduce mortality associated with pregnancy and childbirth in developing countries 📖 challenges of including ai in clinical practice eg informed consent. Collaboration is critical to this process, and sharing the economic benefits. 🏎️ AI is developing at speed; regulatory change is slow as it should be (patient health is at stake) though sometimes regulation changes suddenly and you need to adapt 🩺 governance comes into play— leaders of healthcare organisations need to be assured that AI will work on their patients; part of this is explaining the validation process 💕 recognise that there is an emotional element to decisions as well as logical 🗝️ethics comes into play: how you collect and control data, and also the moral imperative to use AI once you know the benefits it can bring 🌳 there are sustainability payoffs in freeing up time of healthcare personnel and giving them more opportunities to show care 💥 the beneficiaries of these technologies are the patients yet the gatekeepers are the clinicians
