In study after study, across a host of marketing tactics, I see the same pattern repeat itself: few people are more trusted than farmers when it comes to our food. Some of the best examples of this are happening with brands that have embraced regenerative agriculture. Farmer-founded and farmer-led brands are exceptionally well-positioned to speak in a way that is trust-building—both when things are going well and in the face of crisis. One of my favorite examples is Lundberg Family Farms, a family-owned brand of rice that is betting big on Regenerative Organic Certification. Its award-winning marketing campaigns often feature the Lundbergs themselves and use layers of storytelling across all touchpoints to celebrate rice growing from the source. They also boast one of my favorite social media promotions: they did a sweepstakes that gave away a regenerative farm tour hosted by Bryce Lundberg himself. Engaging, trust-building, educational -- all at oncel Beyond that, Lundberg refreshed its strategy and packaging design in way that put farming practices at the center of the brand -- and they got help from two sets of folks that I really admire -- graphic designer Alicia Potter at Faven Creative who redesigned the full line and brand strategists Lisa Hyman and Max Kabat at goodDog who helped lay the ground work. Much respect to Suzanne Sengelmann, Brita Lundberg and their team. Consumer trust is hard to build, for more examples of who's nailing it and tips I've gathered, take a minute to read a recent release of Big Fight™: https://lnkd.in/gNiQ_jum Photo from Lundberg Family Farms #regen #regenerativeagriculture #consuemrtrust #brandtrust #substack
Thanks for the shout out Ryan Pintado-Vertner. When your story is authentic and that’s what you get to put out into the world, it’s easy to build brand trust. Lundberg Family Farms is the real deal and our marketing team works hard to find unique and impactful ways to share our farming and family story.
Doesn't hurt to have great product either -- makes the marketing work that much better. Their rice is awesome.
I love seeing brands like Lundberg Family Farms highlight their farming roots. Brands that involve farmers directly, truly stand out.
I couldn't agree with you more Ryan Pintado-Vertner. Love Lundberg products, the team and their sustainability/ROC efforts. And it's always a treat to see the father-daughter duo of Bryce and Brita at industry events together.

I deeply respect the passion and heart of the entire Lundberg team. I was lucky enough to spend a day at the farm and experience it for myself. That day, along with the killer strategy, inspired the refresh. 🔥
