Our Charlotte HQ was abuzz recently with 70 leaders from across our businesses, who gathered for Leadership lab: two days of collaboration, thought-provoking discussions, and a unique team-building exercise–the Guacamole Challenge. Programming featured insightful presentations from our own leaders like VP of Creative Charlie DeMarco, who led a deep dive on Ai, and special guests, including McKinsey's Jenny Cordina and Jess Buchter, who shared their expertise on consumer healthcare experiences, and Yale's Dr. Jorge O. Moreno, MD, Dipl. ABOM, who joined our own Kori Bivens and Erin Cross to discuss the potential impact of weight-loss drugs. The Guacamole Challenge tasked teams with leveraging each member's unique strengths to create pop-up restaurant concepts, complete with clever names, logos, and signature dishes that left all craving more. Under the leadership of CEO Jeff Hallock and Presidents Courtney Jeffus, Steve Olin, and Ken Malley, the event fostered an atmosphere of transparency, collaboration, and the belief that by working together, we can build a better way to health and wellbeing for all.

Reflections on Forefront Consulting Strategy Meetup about El Abd Foods: Lessons in Leadership and Innovation I recently attended an insightful strategy meetup led by Haytham El Abd, COO of El Abd Foods. Here are some key takeaways that resonated with me: 1- Learning through trial and error: The company embraces a discovery model, valuing experiential learning. 2- Generational wisdom: As the third generation takes the helm, it's clear how trust is earned through crisis management. The second generation's confidence in passing the baton speaks volumes about their succession planning. 3- Crisis as opportunity: The ability to view challenges as stepping stones for growth and innovation. 4- Culture and strategy synergy: While some say culture eats strategy for breakfast, I prefer to think they can meet for lunch and support each other. Both are built over time and require consistent nurturing. 5- Cross-industry innovation: Finding inspiration in unexpected places. For instance, introducing regular patisserie products in hypermarkets or offering bakery items like croissants and cookies in non-traditional settings. 6- Adaptability is key: Neither culture nor strategy should be set in stone. Like living organisms, they need to evolve and adapt to changing environments. This meetup reinforced the importance of balancing tradition with #innovation, and the power of resilient #leadership in navigating change. What are your thoughts on these insights? How does your organization approach the interplay of culture and strategy? A special thank you to Islam Saadany and Marwa Abdelazeem from Forefront for arranging such a magnificent and valuable meetup. Your efforts in organizing this event are deeply appreciated, and I'm looking forward to attending future versions. These gatherings provide invaluable opportunities for learning and networking in our business community. #StrategicManagement #InnovationInBusiness #OrganizationalCulture

Let's talk food and belonging at work. It's not just about what's on the plate. Can't eat with the group? Good luck feeling like part of the team. But here's the thing: this isn't entirely new. What's changed? * Our food (looking at you, US) * Our medical know-how That person who "choked on peanuts" back in the day? Yeah, we know better now. So why are we still struggling with this at work? In our Live session, we dug into how food ties into workplace culture, inclusion, and even safety. It's more than just lunch - it's about who feels welcome at the table (and doesn’t end up in the hospital). Want the full menu of insights? "Staying True to Your Values" For Gregg Majewski and our team at Craveworthy, core values aren't just guidelines—they're the cornerstone of every decision we make. 🛠️ Ignoring fleeting trends, Gregg champions authenticity in leadership as essential, not optional. 🙌 If you're true to your values, the right people—the ones you choose to surround yourself with—will believe in you and your vision. Leading authentically and consistently is the real deal. That’s what I’ve always believed, and it works! 🚀 📺 Watch the full episode of "Room for Seconds" to learn more about hospitality being a key to restaurant success, his dislike for technology in restaurants, and being first in business. ⏯️ https://hubs.li/Q02sPZ5Q0 - Gregg Majewski LinkedIn: https://hubs.li/Q02sPHwp0 - LUNCHBOX Online - https://hubs.li/Q02sP-0N0 - LUNCHBOX Instagram - https://hubs.li/Q02sQgvl0 - LUNCHBOX TikTok - https://hubs.li/Q02sQ4gG0 - Power Lunch YouTube - https://hubs.li/Q02sPTCv0 - LUNCHBOX on LinkedIn - https://hubs.li/Q02sPXs00 #AuthenticLeadership #CoreValues #StayTrue #craveworthybrands #roomforseconds #powerlunch
