Clinical research is so important in providing patients greater access to medicines that can save lives. I'm proud to share Icon Group's Annual Research Report, showcasing the remarkable achievements of our clinical trial teams Slade Health. In 2023, Slade Health provided support to over 320 clinical trials, compounded 7,420 clinical trial products for over 1,000 trial patients. Our state-of-the-art compounding capabilities at our five TGA and Medsafe licensed facilities across Australia and New Zealand have been integral in supporting our hospital partners' efforts to advance healthcare outcomes. I had the great opportunity to attend the Advanced Therapies Week conference in Miami, FL this week. There was a lot of energy and enthusiasm all around and opportunities to connect. I was amazed to learn there are now almost 4000 Gene, Cell and RNA therapies in pre-clinical through pre-registrational phases as of the end of 2023. While the majority of this work has occurred in the oncology and rare disease space, many other therapeutic areas have research underway.   From the clinical operations perspective, the ways in which we plan and setup clinical trials, identify and work with a variety of different data sources for site identification and patient recruitment in trials, partner with specialty vendors delivering unique service offerings, and work through complexities in clinical supply chain logistics will all continue to evolve to meet the needs of new and advanced therapies. Very exciting times ahead! https://lnkd.in/eP2dbHvZ Note: The views and opinions expressed in this post are my own.

Pfizer has posted details for a first in human Phase 1/2 study (NCT06546553) of PF-07826390 alone and in combination in participants with solid tumors. PF-07826390 is a novel, fully humanized bispecific IgG1 that targets the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor, LILRB1 and LILRB2 (B1 and B2) cell-surface receptors. Tubulis GmbH has queued a first-in-human study of TUB-040, composed of an IgG1 antibody targeting Napi2b connected to its payload, the Topoisomerase I inhibitor Exatecan, through a cleavable linker system. The company’s P5 conjugation technology was used to build TUB-040 with a homogenous DAR of 8. Due to start in May 2024, the Phase 1 study aims are to evaluate the safety/tolerability, pharmacokinetics and preliminary efficacy of TUB-040 and to find the best dose of TUB-040 in patients with ovarian cancer and non small cell lung cancer.
