MAC Cosmetics x Lick—now that’s a collab we didn’t see coming, but we’re here for it! 🎨💄🖤 It caught our attention so much that we had to tap into the minds of 600 Brits to get their take. And the results? They're as colourful as Lick's palette! When brands from different worlds join forces, opinions are always split. Nearly half (45%) are excited about fresh ideas and innovative products. But, of course, there’s always some scepticism, with 20% wondering if these collaborations are just clever marketing stunts that grab headlines but don’t bring much real value. Now let's talk #Black40... While black paint may not be everyone's first choice, the collaboration has inspired 20% of Brits to try something new, and nearly 40% are open to experimenting if they see it styled effectively. But has the MAC x Lick collab boosted brand love? Yes... and no. While 17% are now more interested in both brands, the individual impact is slightly more modest—14% for Lick and just 8% for MAC. Congrats to both brands for pulling off such a bold partnership 👏

Custom Norwich Flannel Shirts?! (We bet these guys would have wanted them!) One of the exciting things about building a brand created specifically for the alumni, students, and families of Norwich University - The Military College of Vermont - is getting everyone's feedback to see if our instincts are on point. The vintage letter sweater discussion reinforced our beliefs of what this brand can be and what it can deliver for our fellow Cadets. With that in mind, we've been exploring the idea of bringing a custom flannel shirt - pattern and color - branded under Paine Mountain Outfitters - to our customers in the future if there is enough demand. While we'd like to work with a Vermont-based flannel shirt company (we won't name them but you can probably figure it out) they have been cool to the idea. They just don't do that type of thing...yet. So we did some digging and came across a company that DOES create custom patterns/colors and DOES brand the shirt with the logo of the company they are working with. They support first responders and veterans and have a "rough around the edges" vibe that most of us can relate to. This company is DIXXON Flannel. We've had a couple phone calls to learn their process and it is lengthy but very collaborative. We haven't settled on working with anyone just yet, but these guys seem pretty cool.
