Hello connections!!
Since many people wanted to know about my intern interview experience with Morgan Stanley , I wanted to share some insights. I hope my post can provide some tips and inspiration to those who are trying to crack such an esteemed company.
It was an off-campus opportunity. Role was Technology Summer Analyst Intern for a duration of 2 months and I applied through their official careers page.
Round 1: Online Assessment
There were 3 sections:-
Aptitude:- Medium level questions based on logical reasoning, probability, permutation, combinations, profit, and loss.
Debugging:- 7 questions to debug based on your coding language.
Coding questions:- Total 3 questions based on Dynamic programming, heaps, trees, and graphs. The level of difficulty was Leetcode medium level.
Round 2: Technical Interview (Virtual)
The very next day, I received a call from a recruiter that I have cleared the OA round and informed me that my technical interview was scheduled in 4 days. The technical interview began with a brief introduction. Next, he presented me with a DSA (Data Structures and Algorithms) question, which I would describe as a medium-level LeetCode question, and asked me to code a solution for it. Then he asked me a follow up question. After that, some OOPS, DBMS and OS related questions were asked to me. The entire round lasted for about an hour.
Round 3: Technical + HR interview (Virtual)
Next day, I got the call from the recruiter that I have cleared the first round and the next round was scheduled the upcoming day. This interview also began with an introduction, and the interviewer proceeded to inquire about the projects mentioned in my resume, along with asking a few behavioral and situational questions. He also asked me about some DBMS questions and some questions related to the company and its culture. With this, this round too ends well.
Following the second interview, I anxiously awaited the results and started regularly checking my emails for any updates. Finally, on one fine evening, my patience paid off as I received an email stating that my feedback was positive and that I had been offered a summer internship at Morgan Stanley.
