BE AMERICAN IS LIKE BUYING THE FONTANA DI TREVI TWICE They paid in black and immediately they got them back. Pretty simple. Why? Because in the mean time they tried to rescue them, the stuff dealer bought the protection of someone related to the Mafia which doubled the price taking hostages from the rescue squad and quickening the credit delivery. After some time, Navy discovered that the anti-torpedo were also dismounted and remounted without the explosive and their internals possibly photographed. Which suggested that it was not a mistake since the beginning but a plan, a technology espionage for money. The level of geniality of those implemented the plan was that they got money also from the Navy. It is an amazing espionage school case that inspired many operations for decades in the future. In 2024, this news has been proposed on Facebook and 16 thousands people are cheering at it because ignoring that it was a milestone in the warfare espionage at their damage. At that time I was 4 year old. So, we can agree that I was not involved in harming them or making them out of fun for at least 10 years more, at least. How is it possible that they did not learned yet? When people with a strong discipline that are happy to die or being mutilated for the sake of others people's rich business meet people that need to use all their brain resources to survive because of other people's country foreign policy, that day enters in the history. Always.

-- Chief Red Eagle Red Eagle or William Weatherford (1780 or 1781 - March 24, 1824) was a Creek chief. One of many mixed-race descendants of Southeast Indians who intermarried with European traders and later colonial settlers. Red Eagle was of mixed Creek, French and Scots ancestry. He was raised as a Creek in the matrilineal nation and achieved his power in it, through his mother's prominent Wind Clan, as well as his father's trading connections. After showing his skill as a warrior, he was given the war name of Hopnicafutsahia. The Creek War (1813-1814), also known as the Red Stick War and the Creek Civil War, was a regional war between opposing Creek factions, European empires, and the United States, taking place largely in Alabama and along the Gulf Coast. Red Eagle became increasingly concerned about the influx of European Americans onto Creek land and eventually led a group known as “Red Sticks,” bent on protecting their land, their way of life, and their people from intruders. Eventually the smaller forces of Red Sticks and the larger opposing forces led by General Andrew Jackson came against each other. The conflict ended in the decisive defeat of the Red Sticks at The Battle of Horseshoe Bend, near modern-day Dadeville, Alabama. Terms were drawn up that provided far less land than the Creek tribe had previously held. The quote attributed to Chief Red Eagle reads, "Angry people want you to see how powerful they are. Loving people want you to see how powerful YOU are." #inspirationalquote #motivationalquote #wisdomquotes #lifelesson

As part of of a piece I am writing on attacks on war memorials, it has been interesting to look at the views of those who do not believe such attacks are of concern. One complaint is that we hear too much about past sacrifice and our Anzac history. But this makes no sense because how can we ever hear “too much” about people of purpose and courage? Our present society desperately needs more good examples - not fewer - of bravery and care for others in the face of adversity. I expect it is possible people who say these things are (deep down) worried and afraid they themselves could never meet such standards of service before self. So they sneer at the legacy rather than confront their own fear. But again this makes little sense, because we know probably the vast majority of people commemorated were themselves afraid and yet proceeded to step forward anyway. Fear and anxiety is part of being human and does not preclude trying to aim for high standards. Even though obviously most of us are not called to the kind of tasks past generations were, we can still take heart from their courageous example. I find this part of the discussion quite sad and am still working out how best to respond to it. I would welcome any thoughts.

Last week, the US #CoastGuard's #OceanGate hearings detailed macabre hypotheses of final moments as well as maddening descriptions of willful ignorance. #Safety is not another priority that tussles for operational attention and resources. Safety is the prerequisite for any venture, business or otherwise. The #Titan submersible tragedy should haunt leaders who shortchange safeguards and safety standards whenever they squeeze toothpaste in front of the mirror. Might you have a Stockton Rush in your life, one who blatantly defies conventional safety wisdom, or genuinely believes s/he can do no wrong? As we await another week of recollection and revelation, perhaps we can reflect on some of the lessons from this #Titanic misadventure:

The Bermuda Triangle Is the Bermuda Triangle a real mystery or just a sensational concept? Every day, countless ships navigate the waters between Florida, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico, forming what we know as the Bermuda Triangle. Yet, contrary to popular belief, these ships don't vanish into thin air. Studies by the likes of Lloyd's of London Insurance and the U.S. Coast Guard reveal that ship and aircraft losses in this region are no different than anywhere else in the world. So, where does the enigma of the Bermuda Triangle originate? It's all about mystery, sensationalism, and the human mind's fascination with the unknown. Happy Flag Day! In honor of Old Glory, we thought we'd share some facts about the American flag: 1. According to popular legend, Betsy Ross sewed the first American flag in 1776 after a design was presented to her by George Washington, Robert Morris, and George Ross. However, there is no historical evidence to fully support this story. 2. The first recognized Flag Day was celebrated in 1885 in Fredonia, Wisconsin, when schoolteacher Bernard J. Cigrand held ceremonies for his students to honor the flag. 3. The American flag is traditionally folded in a specific manner into a triangular shape, symbolizing the tricorne hats worn by Colonial soldiers during the Revolutionary War. 4. The world's tallest flagpole flying an American flag is located at Acuity Insurance in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. It stands 400 feet tall and flies a flag that measures 60 by 120 feet (we've never included Wisconsin so much in a post). And there you have it! Always a good thing to take a peek at the past so you can observe how it shapes your present! https://elpaviation.com/ #aviation #aviationsoftware #donthateautomate #ELP #innovatorsneverimmitators #programmersforaviators #airlines #happyflagday #oldglory #americanflag #betsyross #flagday #fredonia #wisconsin #flagfacts #patriotism #history #triangularfold #acuityinsurance #sheboygan #usflag #celebratehistory
