We’re excited to be selected by NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration to deliver the next generation of weather satellites for NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, building on the legacy of our GOES-R program. The Geostationary Extended Observations (GeoXO) will enable us to turn data from satellites into action by bringing new capabilities to increase national resilience, address emerging environmental issues, and mitigate challenges which threaten the security and well-being of every American. As extreme weather events become more prolific, experts need the ability to better access intelligence that helps save lives. Next-generation weather observation is critical to climate monitoring – and with new instruments onboard, the observatories will have a major impact as we continue to evolve how leverage space-based capabilities to improve life here on Earth. Congratulations to our Lockheed Martin GeoXO team! https://lnkd.in/gWD94YNe
Very proud of the team! Excited to watch us apply lessons from our work on NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration's GOES-R satellite series and help improve weather detection and observation.
Have you ever heard of a hacking situation that combines using weather satellites and monitoring someone?
Exceptional! Way to go, team!
congrats Robert Lightfoot & the LM Team! 👏🏼
Well done Lockheed....critical to know advanced weather patterns....and a little monitoring:)
Inspiring - great news!
Congratulations to our GeoXO team! This next generation weather satellite constellation will innovate upon our expansive experience of geostationary weather satellite capabilities.
