Hi Friends among the Rockies! The CSAE Annual Conference is coming up in a few months and it’s recruiting time for our ever popular Silent Auction. We are appealing to your generous hearts and asking that you please contribute to our biggest fundraiser of the year. Our silent auction helps to support programs, education, networking events, and all things CSAE. Our 2023 silent auction during our 1st night reception was so much fun. The CSAE Annual Conference silent auction takes place during our first night welcome reception. At the silent auction last year, there were elbows thrown, hoorays and sighs, but most of all was the level of excitement everyone feels about winning one or more of our outstanding donations. We’re making it so easy to donate: Can’t decide what to donate? Check out our previous top bid items. Tell us what number on the donation list (click on ‘donation list for the hyperlink) you want to donate or if have your own creative idea, fill out the donation sheet here Survey Monkey https://lnkd.in/gbuy_QyK and the committee will mark you down. FAQ’s: -Donation items need a value. We value all of our donations. If you want us to bundle you item with another basket or theme idea, just let us know. You’ll still get lots of credit on our donation list. -Pick up/delivery of items prior to the conference. It’s easiest on the committee if we have at least your description of the donation, value and who is donating put in Survey Monkey https://lnkd.in/gbuy_QyK prior to arrival so we can have your bid sheet ready. Bring your item with you, let us know where to pick it up or any special instructions we need to get your item. -Expirations. Please have a year window of availability if donating items that expire, such as hotel room nights. Please reach out to Richelle Kemper, [email protected] with questions, clarifications or ideas.

I help gala planners break their fundraising goals. Charity Auctioneer, Emcee, & Fundraising Strategist.
In the world of charity auctions, there's a stark contrast between two types of auctioneers: 🔴 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝘂𝗻: They show up, they perform, they leave. Preparation? Minimal. Connection with your cause and supporters? Nonexistent. The result? A performance that lacks heart and often derails your fundraising goals. 🟢 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿: More than an auctioneer. They don't just show up; they dive deep. Analyzing past data, setting financial targets with you, guiding program planning. They understand your cause, help craft a compelling narrative, and connect deeply with your supporters. The difference? It's not just about calling bids. It's about understanding the heartbeat of your mission and amplifying it. Choose wisely. Your auctioneer can be the linchpin in your fundraising success. #philanthropy #charityfundraising #auctioneer #nonprofit #nonprofitevents

Hey, fam! It's #TipOfTheWeek time. 🎟️ As you promote fundraising events like galas, concerts, or sporting fundraisers, it's crucial to avoid advertising ticket purchases as tax-deductible "donations." Here's why: Under IRS rules, amounts paid for admission to events aren't considered charitable contributions if the donor receives something of value in return. This includes Entry to the event itself, food, entertainment, and other benefits received. Because attendees get something tangible for their money, ticket costs cannot be treated as fully tax deductible "quid pro quo" donations. #NonprofitTips #TaxDeductible #Donations #501c3

Some innovations have a big impact on the community. Goodbids is one of them. The core of the idea is the Positive Auction. While it seems a bit like an eBay auction, there are actually some extraordinary and game-changing twists. The key is this: Every bid is a donation. Today, we launched three auctions, with more to come all week: Each bid is actually a non-refundable donation. That means that if you bid $10 and someone outbids you at $20, your donation still goes to the charity. You get an email confirmation of your donation and peace of mind. Someone else is going to get the reward–unless you choose to bid again. The last donation gets the reward. The magic of a Positive Auction is in the math. If the bidding for an top of range MacBook Pro goes to $1500 (far less than its value), the nonprofit will get up to $112,000 in donations. https://www.goodbids.org/
