An HR conference I went to, I had the pleasure of being in a DEI&B seminar. I thought to myself it was so basic, it was well behind the work I had already done and surely this wouldn't be an issue for HR professionals...But then the questions started... and some of the answers (very reasonable ones) made people get up and walk out. To know that there are people in HUMAN RESOURCES out there with these views perpetuating hiring practices- was illuminating to say the least... Those of us in the HR industry need to examine our own biases and use that journey to help the system move forward. "For Samuels, it needs to start from the top. “The C-suite and executives need to look at their company and evaluate how a more inclusive team can change the bottom line, and then they need to pass that message down to their HR and hiring teams.”"
