The professional’s Touch on my brand. It's the 14th day of super amazing results. Participating in the challenge has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me yielding tangible results and fostering personal growth along the way. Within just a few days of joining Williams Tomide Sodunke 21 days challenge several noteworthy outcomes have emerged, highlighting the significance of such engagements. First and foremost 📌 the increase in engagement has been remarkable. This heightened interaction not only enhances visibility but also fosters a sense of belonging and connection for me. 📌The opportunity to forge genuine connections has been invaluable. Engaging with like-minded individuals who share similar interests and aspirations has facilitated the establishment of authentic relationships. 📌the generation of leads signifies a tangible impact resulting from participation in the challenge. Each lead represents a potential opportunity for growth and advancement. I have generated 4 leads since I started the challenge. In essence, the challenge serves as a fertile ground for personal and professional development. It has helped me enhance 📌visibility 📌cultivate meaningful connections 📌pursue valuable opportunities. The importance of such initiatives cannot be overstated As they serve as catalysts for growth, networking, and success. 🎊 One Year Anniversary at Morrison: Time flies when you’re scaling operations and slaying deadlines. Reflecting on my first year at MORRISON has been a wild ride of personal growth, teamwork, and just a little bit of imposter syndrome (let’s be honest—sometimes A LOT). From my first solo client call to submitting DOE proposals, I've learned what it means to grow, adapt, and excel under pressure. Taking on new challenges, learning from my incredible team, and asking, “How can this be better?” has defined my journey. (Cue the eye-rolls from the team 😅). Turns out, my Working Genius of Wonder and Discernment was spot-on: an innate drive to improve, streamline, and find the right solutions to move projects forward. 🚀 Highlights of My Year: 🎯 Secured $23MM in grants with an 81% success rate—what a journey! 🤝 Supported my teammates through tight deadlines, crazy schedules, and some intense team bonding experiences. 💡 Launched new processes and updated internal systems, all while navigating the steep learning curve of grant writing. 📝 Conquered major grants like ERME, DOE, and VAPG, sometimes even while balancing personal milestones (like getting married and buying a house!). 🤝 Embraced our culture of support, encouragement, and humility. I’m so grateful to my team for inspiring continuous improvement, creativity, and always bringing their A-game. Together, we've faced challenges, shared many laughs (and maybe a few tears), and transformed ideas into reality. Here's to many more wins, learning experiences, and making the world a better place through our work at Morrison! 🥂✨

Not going to discuss this week’s linen-clad, rosé-fueled Cannes festivities or the award-winning work that nobody ever saw and delivered zero business results. Instead, we’re going to discuss bloat. Many years ago, when a friend and I were solidly entrenched in middle management, we couldn’t help but notice the layers of people at our respective companies that drove up costs but seemingly added no value to clients. We would joke that if half of them didn’t show up the next day, the organization wouldn't miss a beat. In fact, it would actually work *better.* More recently he described an organization as a car with three types of people inside: 1.       Passengers. 2.       Road watchers. 3.       Driver. Passengers are fine, as long as they’re not distracting, but do nothing to help you arrive at your destination any quicker. Road watchers can help point out obstacles and possible dangers, but they’re only slightly more useful. What a successful organization needs are drivers. People willing to get behind the wheel, take ownership of a situation and guide the car (organization) toward a more prosperous destination. As Austen Allred stated more eloquently on Twitter/X, “There’s a small handful of people in every impactful organization who move mountains, and huge swaths of other people making a living from the consequences of that being true.” The unfortunate part of this reality in the agency business is that clients are paying for headcount that either a. doesn’t add value to their business or b. doesn’t work on their business at all. This, of course, is on top of funding the opaque parts of SG&A…like the overhead of “centralized services,” Class A office space, and travel & entertainment (not just to Cannes). On the other end of the spectrum are agencies like Triunion that deliver all the results without all the bloat. Our senior-level team is not learning on the job at your expense or overcharging you for junior (or non-existent) talent. I am one of those oddballs who gets excited on a Sunday night about knowing I've got work the next day. Much to my other half's bafflement, I might add. And I thought this week would be a prime example of why. This week I have the pleasure of helping Bluebird Care define their employer brand, ODEON Cinemas Group develop their shiny new careers website, Lidl GB creatively launch their new EVP, the green light to support on a piece of work close to my heart (animal related!), all whilst finishing off judging some incredible (and numerous!) RMAward entries. And we're only halfway through the week. Yes there's a lot to do, no it's not always plain sailing, but it's bloomin' good fun and you know the work is having a positive impact. And yep I'm aware some is name-dropping in this post. But I'm proud of it. Proud to do what I do, to be part of a business that delivers exceptional work, and proud of the clients I get to work with. It gives Monday - Friday and beyond clear purpose. The point of this post (and of employer branding in general) is simply, I hope everyone can do something they love, and as the old cliché goes, it shouldn't then feel like work. Wrapping up an extraordinary week with FIVE GUYS Fridays! (Thanks Matt J. 😂) 🍔🚀 It’s been a whirlwind, full of energy and results. My week as a Business Development Director has been all about driving revenue and forging key partnerships. I’ve had the privilege of working with a football club setting up impactful commercial relationships. We’re also prepping for major 2024 campaigns with two leading sports teams, a prominent Welsh food manufacturer, a renowned chocolate brand, a national contracting company, and a well-respected car dealership in Wales and the South West. We’ve extended our strategy to some of Wales’ most iconic venues and hotels, ready to make a significant impact. There’s also an exciting opportunity brewing with a New York-based company on the verge of substantial growth and brand development. The week’s highlight? Bringing on board 12 new clients is a clear sign of the groundbreaking growth our agency is achieving. They use the pre-service meeting to run through the day’s menu and LTOs, safety, company news and reminders to keep their people informed. They keep them ENGAGED with fun and movement. That’s the difference. That’s the stickiness of building a team, a community, and a cohesive unit versus running an operation with employees. Our Eurest USA and ESFM® USA Comms team also has a version of pre-service daily. We’ve kicked off our meeting with a song of the day, favorite reels, current inspirations that a team member takes turns leading and sharing.
