It all began when 𝗲𝟰𝗺, the esteemed #media powerhouse, entrusted us with a noble task: to bring their vision of honouring #journalism excellence to life through meticulously crafted trophies.
𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝟴𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀.
📣When I have impressive experiences, I like to write them down, though many times, it is not possible, or I get delayed.
When the culture of Media (such as 𝗔𝗮𝗷 𝗧𝗮𝗸, 𝗡𝗗𝗧𝗩, 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘄, 𝗔𝗕𝗧 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗽 and so on) is used as a platform to facilitate achievers.
Typically, these journalists have limited chances to receive #awards, namely a few from the Government authorities.
The enduring legacy of the 𝐞𝐧𝐛𝐚 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬, upheld over the years by 𝗲𝟰𝗺, and their transparent and honest selection and #jury process deserve high praise.👑
The meticulous attention to detail instilled within the 𝗲𝟰𝗺 team is truly admirable and offers valuable lessons.
The updates that went like :
What is the current status of #trophy production 🏆?
We won't know the #awardees until the last minute because the Jury has yet to finalize their decision. However, the #trophies need to be delivered to the venue on time.
At a late stage, the Jury decided to introduce a new category or make additional additions.
In trophy manufacturing, it's ideal to produce all trophies simultaneously to control costs. As an event manager, you prefer to receive the finalized trophies promptly and delay those awaiting decisions. However, holding back decided trophies due to pending decisions can be challenging to manage. Balancing this tug of war is an art.
Working with Priyanka Bhadouria, Tushar Dewan , and the team at 𝗲𝟰𝗺 for the enba awards was a fantastic experience. Thanks 🙏, Annurag Batra, for entrusting the opportunity.
Witnessing renowned 🎗️news anchors like 𝗔𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗢𝗺 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗵𝘆𝗮𝗽 and 𝗥𝗮𝗵𝘂𝗹 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝘄𝗮𝗹 held the award was a proud moment.

Thanks Data2speak INC for recognizing my submission (https://lnkd.in/d-VvyB9C) and including it on the shortlist in the Business Dashboards category, among solid works of others. Waiting for 10th of May now.
For those curious – a few general words about motivations and the course of work:
In this category, participants were tasked with preparing business dashboards based on data provided by the organizer or dataset of your choice. I dismissed the latter option, although interesting and tempting, in order to:
• Start from scratch. From the real scratch.
• Not take shortcuts, but rather treat the submission as a serious challenge.
• So that the jury could more objectively assess the work compared to other dashboards.
The final choice fell on a dataset related to production lines. There were several reasons:
• Compared to HR / Sales / Marketing data, production data is the least explored area for me and I saw it as an ideal opportunity for learning and additional research.
• Simplicity of this dataset motivates to enrich the data with your own assumptions and consider indicators carefully.
• Based on last year's shortlist and intuition, I assumed that production data would not be very popular, and by choosing this topic, you may stand out a little bit more.
With the dataset chosen, next step was to set the main goal for learning the technicalities. This time it was to:
• Practice the use of map layers, while avoiding overuse of visualization types.
• Promote filter actions over standard UI quick filters.
• Keep color coding consistent and meaningful.
In addition to production data, just for fun, I also prepared a sales dashboard (https://lnkd.in/d9NB6eFG), which did not make it to the shortlist. Here, the structure of the dataset was challenging – due to different levels of granularity, not all interactions in the dashboard would make sense. Therefore, it was an opportunity to rethink filters, parameter changes, visibility zones and play with MoM/YoY comparisons that sales guys love.
Overall, pretty satisfied with both main and side submission. Good starting points for further development.
Good luck everyone and keep vizin.
