The Biden deepfake call in New Hampshire demonstrated how advanced technologies (when used maliciously) can propagate election misinformation and create confusion to voters. This all poses a significant threat to the integrity of elections. Detecting deepfakes is core to our mission at Resemble AI. We aren’t just committed to creating generative AI tools responsibly; we’re actively partnering with the public sector and releasing new tools to tackle the malicious use of AI-generated voices. We commend the Federal Communications Commission's recent action to propose a $6M fine against the perpetrators of this deepfake robocall to hold them accountable. 3moAnother concerning thing I see a lot of - YouTube ads twith a voice over that mimics the voice of one of the presidents telling the viewer of the ad that they endorse the person in the video and the product they’re trying to sell. Clearly targeted to the very elderly, because I expect, that group contains significant number of vulnerable and easily misled people.
