So, I rarely post here, especially about hobbies and such things, but this is one thing I'm too proud of to not post about. My secret identity and alter ego in the world outside of work is "Ziphoid". That's what I use as a handle in the world of the Demoscene, a creative community of people from all walks of life, creating and enjoying digital (well, mostly) art. The topic is a bit too complex to simplify like this, but I think that is as close as it can get. In this world, I'm part of running an entity called SceneSat. Our aim is to bring the wonderful world of the demoscene out to people so that they can enjoy the creativity and amazement it brings. We do so by broadcasting from various events and also do shows and podcasts, but we've also made sure to create a series of music compilations, showcasing the music side of things and provide free entertainment for everyone to enjoy. Last night was the time we revealed our 8th installment in this series with a series of shows, hosted by our staffers. Now it's out there for everyone to enjoy. The biggest thing with these compilations is that we've made them to show off how many good musicians there are out there, and the most amazing thing is that they are HUGE, with tracks in all genres and styles. Vol 7 has 91 tracks, just to tell you the size of things. And it's all free for everyone to enjoy.
