I've never settled for less than five stars. Why should you? In over two years of medical writing, every project and every client has received my utmost attention. The reward? A portfolio adorned with glowing feedback. It's hugely satisfying when I can look back at the dozens of 5-star testimonials that reflect how happy I've left my clients. Take a look at what some of them have had to say. 1️⃣ "Remy was an absolute pleasure to work with. I tasked him with writing an explanatory memo about my upcoming medical app. Although the subject matter was fairly atypical, he asked the right questions to unpack it. The end result reflected the right level of scientific rigour and inquisitiveness. He articulated my vision perfectly!" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2️⃣ "Remy is a detailed professional writer. His writing style far exceeded what I expected. I requested a detailed article, and Remy delivered an original work of art. Although we are in different countries, he was very responsive, and I found working with him smooth and extremely professional." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 3️⃣ "Hands down, Remy is the best! A good listener who delivers nothing but the best. Very creatively and tastefully crafts your content. I love working with him. Highly recommend!" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Want a five-star experience? 🚨 As the song goes, you don't have to put on the red light but... there may be a range of medical benefits if you do. (Sorry, that was weak but in my defence, I've been awake since 4 am) But anyway, red light therapy is the latest thing people are frothing over. But what is it? And how exactly does shining red light do cool stuff like heal wounds faster and improve acne? And should you wear sunscreen during red light therapy? ☀ Find out in my latest offering over at Healthnews Next week, look out for my article on how preliminary studies have shown that red light shined through your cranium could revolutionize the treatment of anxiety and depression! 🧠 https://lnkd.in/dEsNvyfT

3 years ago I did something pretty out of the box… I quit my well paid post at a renowned research institute and decided to strike out as a freelance medical writer. The beginning was tough. One of my first jobs earned me just $64, and that was about all I made in my first month. Fast forward to today: I have a client flying me to Poland to work on an exciting new project at their headquarters. And they’re paying me more than $64! 🎉 Sure it’s Wizz Air from Luton Airport, but it still feels like a big step from where I started out. Just give me a few more years until my private jet… 🛩️

In today's edition of "People are doing WHAT now?!" People are...drinking salt water to give themselves diarrhoea....on purpose! Yes. Thanks to the wonders of social media, short attention spans, the Dunning-Kruger effect and the proliferation of week-long health coaching diplomas, people really are downing glasses of salty water as a gut cleanse. Read all about it on Healthnews https://lnkd.in/epuphxk6 I'm out here, losing brain cells on TikTok so you don't have to. You're welcome.

Ever looked at your morning coffee and thought, I should put this up my a**? Well, come on down to Starbutts, where we serve it a little differently! ☕🚽 Grande Gut Rinse? Pumpkin Spice Poop Cleanse? Thanks to the modern wonders of the internet, coffee enemas are trending! But before you head to my (thankfully fictional) coffee shop, here are two facts and one very important piece of advice. - Our bodies have amazing natural systems to handle toxins. - Coffee tastes better when you drink it. - If you're going to ignore the above, at least make sure to cool the coffee first. Really. Read more on why you should think twice about this trend in my latest article for Healthnews https://lnkd.in/dHCXfn8g

That’s my cousin Louisa in the pink shirt. Not long after this photo was taken, Louisa started having shooting pains in her arms and legs. Common things being common, her GP thought they were growing pains, except they carried on and got worse. Eventually, scans revealed a growth that had wrapped around her spine and spinal cord, making surgery not only dangerous but impossible. It was cancer. More specifically, neuroblastoma. Lulu was unlucky. Neuroblastoma is extremely rare in teenagers. When other kids her age were taking those first awkward steps to adulthood, finding first loves, discovering music and the highs and lows of puberty, Lulu was going through relentless rounds of chemotherapy, losing her hair and eyebrows. She was shut off from the world. Sometimes literally, when the drugs weakened her immune system to the point where a simple infection was life-threatening. Drawing on wells of strength that belied her young years, Lulu battled for a long time but at the tender age of 16, Louisa lost her fight. My cousin Frankie, on the left, lost her big sister and my uncle faced the unimaginable pain of laying his daughter to rest. I was in my first year of medical school, making new friends and planning a whole life ahead of me. Louisa would never get that chance. Often, one of the first lessons we learn about life is that it is short and that it isn’t always fair. But the follow-up lesson, for me at least, is that we always have the power to try and make our little corner of existence a little kinder and more hopeful for others facing similar challenges. So when Skomer Bennett-Clemmow shared his story and the reason he set up Gena Health — a platform that gives hope and time to patients with rare or hard-to-treat cancers and their families — I was reminded of Lulu and the lessons her passing taught me about finding meaning in adversity. It was an immediate yes from me. It’s important for me to work with companies and organisations with causes I believe in. Gena is one of those organisations. I’m excited to write for them, but most of all, I’m excited to see what Skomer and Gena will do to make their corner of the world kinder and more hopeful.
