Founder/CEO at CaneKast

We want to hire a head of sales, someone who starts by calling on customers today and as they gain knowledge of the industry and company, they build a team, processes, etc in their likeness to run Very interesting role to hire for, as they need to build a function that 5x’s the company well into 9 figures of revenue, yet is willing to get their hands dirty to make it happen. It’s the dream job that my peers and I wanted in our 20’s as corporate wouldn’t give us the freedom … yet by the time people get promoted, it’s a job that more seasoned people don’t want as they can’t or don’t want to do the dirty work any longer This is probably the #1 reason why seasoned corporate people are unable or prefer not to make the transition to SMB

Or, the people who have the experience and skills are weary of SMB’s that pay half of what the big corporations and VC backed entities offer - and they are simultaneously at a point where life expenses are too high to take a cut. Maybe you should repost the search as: “aggressively growing chain of foundries with seriously progressive leadership seeking experienced, dedicated, hand on sales executive to lead revenue growth with unlimited performance based compensation.” Maybe the right candidate would push you out of the way to get started.

Currently the company I work for is on the market as the owner is looking to retire. I am 52, 6'8" and in the Gym at 5:30 most mornings. I am Christian and train dogs for Vets in my free time. Let's see...I have called every subsidiary of CaneKast to find buyers of Aluminum Ingot and Sow several times. I have reached out to you here to try to find the right purchasing agent, I also reached out to Eric. Several Times. When I am on the production floor I have been known to help stack ingot, load a truck, or pack Dross in gaylord boxes (VERY dirty work). I am praying when the company sells I stay on as VP of Sales and Technology, but would be willing to consider a position with someone like you who from a young age set a target and hit as many bulls eyes as you sir. Legit, your story is inspiring. Similar to Mr Weitsman's and The picture below is a snippet of the sales list I use to reach out. I am on the phone all day. Either on a call or texting to International Clients on WhatsApp.

Good luck! Sales focus is key for mfg to drive backlog and keep the fixed costs at bay. Some super long sales cycles in mfg that are not for people looking for the quick wins!

Sounds like a great opportunity and large task. Much like most career paths. SMB alike. There is an ole wise tale that may fit this offer. "If it was easy, everyone would be doing it". Best of luck on filling this great opportunity.
