Our posts are our reflection… Saturday evening an assassination attempt was made on a former U.S. President. Today as I scroll through my LinkedIn news feed I barely see anything about it. And then it hit me. Many people are just simply selfish. At what magnitude does something happen that causes us to provide our condolences? At what point do we cut back on sharing how good our companies are and be a human? The division in our country is at an all time high in my lifetime. We all have companies and causes that are important to us, as we should, but if we don’t take time to show love and compassion towards each other the division will continue to divide us. Most of the companies we work for stand ready to make a post about what ever the cause is for the month, some even offensive, but I’ve seen very few make a post extended well wishes to a former president. Are we more focused on the flaws than we are expressing compassion? It seems so.

Thanks Reggie for bringing this to our attention. Talking about the hard stuff is what makes us human and also helps us to find a way forward. Unfortunately I have been surprised by how few people actually have the courage to have these conversations, yet they are critical to our aggregate strength. #radicalcompassion ❤️🩹

Reggie Jones I see so much vitriol on Facebook and X (Twitter) about the assassination attempt that I sometimes want to give up social media for good. People wishing that the sh**ter had better aim, and so forth. And even going so far as to say that the whole thing was staged by the Republicans in an attempt to bolster the opinions of the masses. No compassion for the firefighter who lost his life protecting his family, nothing. What is this country coming to?
