📢 Opportunity Notice: The National Early Care and Education (ECE) Workforce Center is recruiting two research fellows and two policy fellows. The 10-month program is designed to achieve two primary goals: (1) to support the leadership development of individual ECE professionals and (2) to help emerging leaders build their expertise about the ECE workforce while gaining skills to effectively bridge research and policy/practice. 👩🔬 👨🔬 Eligibility: Candidates applying for the research track must be enrolled in and pursuing some level of graduate study (master’s or doctoral) at the time of the application and duration of the fellowship, in the field of early care and education, education or public policy, labor/employment, or a closely related field. 💰 Stiped: Participants will receive a stipend of $12,500. The program, which includes 10-15 hours per month of program activities, is designed to allow employed individuals to continue their employment and students to maintain full-time status. The fellowship runs from May 2024–February 2025. 🗓 Due Date: March 20, 2024 (quick turnaround here!) 👉 Required Application Materials include:  Application (Including two short-answer questions) Resume/CV (two pages maximum)  Research Track Applicants' resume/CV should include research skills and/or responsibilities  Letter of commitment Research Advisor or Employer Letter of Support (depending on the track you are applying for). Medical schools need to prioritize meaningful student engagement (SE) starting early in university life that provides opportunities for autonomy, personal growth and transformation through academic wand non-academic experiences including teaching/learning, socio cultural, community (healthcare) and research activities. Sambath Cheab and I first met these UHS Student Association members during the 1st Annual HPE Conference in Phnom Penh. Yesterday, we just met online for experience-sharing and discussions of different topics such as needs assessment, project proposal writing (turning problems into the solution-oriented project) and soft skills development through volunteerism. An early investment in student leaders is necessary.

Check out our very own, Dr. Jessica Marotta's, most recent publication! https://lnkd.in/eSKXaCTF Abstract The purpose of the study was to examine education doctoral student perspectives on their experience of enrolling in a fully online EdD program during a global pandemic and achieving career advancement during their enrollment through the lens of transformative learning theory. A qualitative study of 12 participants was conducted to examine in what ways the pandemic influenced their decision to enroll in an online doctorate program, in ways their thinking progressed throughout the program, and the factors affecting their decision to take on a career advancement while enrolled in the program. The findings indicate that there were elements of transformative learning that occurred for many of the participants. Faculty teaching in doctorate programs are encouraged to explore how they might foster transformative learning experiences for their students.
