Captured another wedding with the team shooting photo + video at a gorgeous wedding at the Epic Aldrich Mansion in Warwick, Rhode Island.
Some fun facts:
Built: 1896-1901 by U.S. Senator Nelson W. Aldrich, a key figure in shaping U.S. economic policy.
Location: Warwick, Rhode Island, overlooking Narragansett Bay.
Architectural Style: French Renaissance with 70 rooms, including ballrooms and dining halls.
Original Cost: $1.5 million (equivalent to over $50 million today).
Historical Significance: Tied to the powerful Aldrich family and later, the Rockefellers (via Abby Aldrich Rockefeller, co-founder of MoMA).
Ownership: Sold to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence in 1939.
Current Use: Event venue for weddings, corporate functions, and retreats.
Estimated Value Today: $20-30 million, factoring in its historical significance and waterfront location.
A true symbol of Gilded Age opulence, Aldrich Mansion stands as a testament to the intersection of wealth, power, and history in America.
Whether I'm shooting at a mansion in Newport, Warwick or Boston im always fascinated with the architecture and the story of these beautiful locations.
Is it possible to combine the old and the new without losing the original feel of a place?
As an example of successful urban restoration and revitalisation, OFF Piotrkowska Center in the heart of Łódź, Poland, offers a positive answer to this question.
The OFF Piotrkowska Center concept consists of uniting initiatives from the worlds of culture, art, environmental protection, sustainable development, and business.
From the start, we have envisaged the dynamic results of a diverse mix of talents and creative minds, representing tech start-ups, fashion studios, architecture and design companies, retail, PR agencies, music venues, the hospitality industry and more, coming together in one place to forge what our CEO and OFF founder Michal M. Stys calls "a creative ecosystem".
The history of OFF is one that has deep roots in the fabric of Łódź. It is a history of innovation, transformation, openness, and, most importantly, people.
The spinning and weaving factory of Franciszek Ramisch was created gradually. From 1879, Ramisch operated a hand-weaving plant making cotton products. By 1889, the factory had a steam engine and 64 power looms, and it employed 70 workers. By 1905 the workforce numbered 452.
In 1924, a joint stock company was formed employing around 1000 workers. The development was curtailed by the turmoil of war.
Following nationalization, the site was home to the Łódź Cotton Weaving Factory and then to Gen. Walter’s Cotton Industry Plant. Then came the political transformation of 1989 and an uncertain future.
The Ramisch Factory gained a second life thanks to the efforts of property management specialists from OPG Property Professionals, who initiated the OFF Piotrkowska Center project on the deteriorating real estate.
Since then, OFF has gained widespread acclaim, including first place in National Geographic Traveler's “7 New Wonders of Poland” (an award for “unconventional, magical spaces, newly created and enjoying their second life”) and first prize in the Society of Polish Town Planners’ Awards, in recognition of creating a cultural centre for artistic and pro-community initiatives, as well as establishing a public space oriented at creative industries.
It is not in the nature of OFF to stand still. It continues to evolve, with the construction of TEAL, a new Class A office building, and the revitalisation works at SEPIA among recent achievements, and now the upcoming FERN development.
Passion, drive, ideas - these qualities are still the primary criteria when selecting our future partners.
The film below brings together some of OFF's vital talents who share their stories and reminiscences as we celebrate our past and look forward to an equally exciting future. Join us!

As we start packing our bags for travels to family members or prepare our homes for the wave of loved ones about to grace our doorsteps, let's pause for a merry moment. Take a glance at the holiday decorations that have stood the test of time - the twinkling lights, the tinsel, and the festive ornaments (store-bought or maybe homemade).
Each piece holds a story, a memory, or maybe it's just waiting to be part of a new tradition. If you find that some decorations remain in their boxes year after year, perhaps it's time to spread that holiday joy even further.
Why not gift that cheerful trinket to a niece or nephew to sparkle up their first apartment? Maybe there's a friend who's mentioned starting their collection – what better way to help than passing on your cherished yet underused trimmings?
And for those special pieces that hold sentimental value but no longer fit your style, consider keeping them aside - take a photo, write down the story of how they came into your life. Then, consider selling them through various channels so you can maybe fund that giant inflatable reindeer you've been eyeing.
As we gather, share, and revel in the holiday spirit, let's think about the joy our unused decorations could bring to others. It's a small step in creating new stories and keeping the spirit of giving alive.
Here’s to a holiday season where every decoration has its place, whether that’s under your roof or bringing cheer somewhere new. And if you could use a professional's helping hand, reach out to us at www.WayMakerDMM.com or call (770) 954-6622 (main) or (404) 281-2763 (my cell). 🏡❤️🎁

400+ contacts already! Wow! To celebrate this milestone, I would like to take you all down memory lane and up north from Paris…
Remember those pop-up fairytale books from your childhood? The ones where, once you turn the heavy carton pages, a castle suddenly unfolds in-between, emerging from the origami-like disguised section… It looked like magic itself! I bet sometimes you regret growing up into a much duller and less magical world – a world of no castles arising out of nowhere right before your eyes.
What if I told you such places are real? One of them is hidden in the middle of the woods, some twenty minutes away from Paris, and is called Chantilly. I will not include additional photos just so you could avoid spoilers and use your imagination. Just follow me – I’ll guide you.
Once you get off the train, walk a couple hundred meters from the train station to the main crossroads, until you see the model of the town on a pedestal, cast in metal. A voluminous roadmap of sorts. And even though it is made to scale, honestly, the real Chantilly is not much bigger.
The town is a masterpiece of planning, where every element is within a (child's) walking distance from the other. The main shopping and restaurant street is five minutes away from the train station and ten walking minutes long.
Perpendicular to it and rooted in the charming main square with a circular fountain (and, in winter, a fairytale Christmas tree!), there is the main historical street with all the charming corners and hidden backyards.
The street will lead you to the “Notre Dame” of Chantilly – a local cathedral with the shapes of a Baroque lady.
And right next to it, there will be a gargantuan Museum of the Horse – you will never miss or confuse it with something else, as it has images of horses all over the façade and even the roof. Discover the insides, you will be surprised!
And then, just turn around and let the view take your breath away. The Chateau. Straight from the book pages. But real and life-sized. Big enough to meet your childhood expectations.
Honestly, in Chantilly, you can find everything, and everything is magical! Here, you can see a lacy Chateau, alive and running canals, exquisite gardens, horses and jockeys, retro cars, and… a free city bus (if that's not magic, what is?)! All in one place the size of a children’s book.
If you happen to find your way to Chantilly, tag me! I’ll be happy to meet you there ))
