🌈This year, members of Reebok's Colorful Soles ERG marched in the Boston Pride Parade as guests of BAGLY, Inc. (The Boston Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Youth). 🦄 BAGLY was among 315 groups in the parade from all over Massachusetts. To our surprise, Senator Elizabeth Warren marched alongside BAGLY and even took selfies with the crowd! 👟 Reebok participants all laced up in the Pride DMX Comfort+ shoes.

#TheMorningInclusive GLAAD’s ‘Here We Are Now’ Campaign In a world where 71% of Americans say they have never met someone who is transgender, the gap in understanding and connection is palpable. This void is often filled with misinformation and harmful rhetoric, creating barriers to empathy and support. GLAAD’s ‘Here We Are Now’ campaign is a beacon of hope and inclusivity, aiming to bridge this divide. The campaign provides a platform for transgender individuals to share their stories, their triumphs, and their challenges. It’s not just about putting a face to the statistics; it’s about humanizing the experiences that are too often relegated to the margins of society. ‘Here We Are Now’ is more than a campaign; it’s a movement. It’s a call to action for all of us to listen, learn, and grow. By amplifying transgender voices, we can begin to dismantle the stereotypes and biases that have long silenced them. We can create a world where everyone is seen, heard, and valued. As professionals, we have the power to make a difference. We can foster inclusive workplaces, support policies that protect transgender rights, and educate ourselves and others. We can be allies in the truest sense of the word, standing alongside our transgender colleagues, friends, and family members. Let’s take this opportunity to reflect on what inclusivity means to us. How can we contribute to a world where every person has the chance to tell their story? The ‘Here We Are Now’ campaign is a reminder that we all have a role to play in creating a more inclusive society. Join the conversation. Share your story. Support the cause. Because here we are, and now is the time to stand together in solidarity. #HereWeAreNow #TransRightsAreHumanRights #Belonging #Inclusion #Diversity #Equity #Accessibility https://lnkd.in/e8ScJsWs

We all know pride season separates the professionals from the amateurs in marketing— only few are appropriately championing brand purpose in alignment with Pride. And who are these brand purpose champions you may ask? Our Pride & Purpose shortlist is 🥁 Skittles - When it comes to Pride, Skittles has mastered the rainbow. Absolut Vodka (The Absolut Group) - For more than 40 years, Absolut has been an ally brand to the LGBTQ+ community. From being the first sponsor on Rupaul’s Drag Race to collaborating with iconic queer artists like Keith Haring and Andy Warhol in the 80’s, Absolut has been leading with Pride long before others. LEGO (the LEGO Group) - Compared to the other brands in this list, LEGO does not have a longstanding history of being a Pride champion but they do deserve credit for their Everyone is Awesome LEGO set. MAC Cosmetics - Since being founded in the 80s, another veteran ally is MAC Cosmetics. MAC slays Pride month marketing by way of their iconic 'Viva Glam' campaign, the lipstick that saves lives! It’s not easy as a brand to be proud on purpose, but these brands are giving us world class references on how to align brand purpose with Pride not only appropriately but profoundly. #TimeToGetGrounded #CelebratePride #Purpose #PrideCampaign

Thanks for helping reveal our 2024 PRIDE vehicles today François Dossa. It genuinely gives me great pride to work for a company that provides support for diversity networks such as ours, and has such visibility in it’s leadership. Working with Fei Gu as Co-lead for creative within the JLR PRIDE network, we’ve worked hard on designing the vehicle liveries for our 2024 pride season. We've had a number of great designs for pride vehicles in the past, but one consistent piece of feedback we had from people in our PRIDE network was that they wanted to see more colour! As a community we are bright & diverse, the pride progress flag represents that, and so we wanted to include all colours of the progress flag to represent all members of the LGBTQ+ community. In this election year, there is already a great amount of noise over LGBT+ rights and issues being debated in public - Trans rights & healthcare, a ban on conversion therapy, relationship & sexual health education in schools to name a few. It is important to acknowledge the noise that has created and what it can do to our mental health to have our rights and existence up for debate. As a network and a community, we need to support each other and cut through all of the noise, and we also need to engage with allies to help us do that. As proud creators of modern luxury, we should feel emboldened to show our colours, and proud to stand and be visible. We certainly believe this year's PRIDE vehicles are visible! And we hope you do too. (Also found 5 mins to throw together a REAL quick animation)
At JLR, PRIDE is something we commit to all year round through our policies and culture rather than only one day or one month, but PRIDE month is about raising awareness and celebrating the inclusion of LGBT+ communities and allies. Today, I was privileged to unveil the Defender and Jaguar F-TYPE vehicles that will form part of our PRIDE fleet, joining our colleagues who will be proudly marching in parades across the globe, in Birmingham and London, all the way to Portland and New York. These parades honour the Stonewall riots, which were a historical catalyst in changing attitudes towards LGBTQ+ people, campaigning for equal rights, and fighting homophobia. They look amazing and I’d like to say a huge thank you to our creative colleagues at JLR, Fei Gu and Louis Gospel for their roles in this years designs which feature the colours of the PRIDE progress flag to represent of all aspects of our diverse community. So, as we stand tall this PRIDE month as allies of LGBTQ+ people, let’s remember that PRIDE plays such an important part in our history, and let’s strive to promote a world where we champion acceptance and safe spaces for all. #PRIDE #Inclusion

Through the lecture <Pride Sports Including LGBTQ+ People>, I've learned that the LGBTQ+ community is having a significant impact on the sports industry, influencing everything from marketing strategies to inclusivity initiatives within teams and organizations. As I aspire to become a future sports marketer, I've learned the importance of adopting a broader perspective that embraces diversity and inclusivity. Understanding the diverse needs and interests of LGBTQ+ individuals allows for more inclusive marketing campaigns and fosters a stronger connection with a broader audience. It's essential for future sports marketers to educate themselves on LGBTQ+ issues and ensure their strategies are inclusive and representative of all identities within the sports community.

Coordinator for MDRC Leaders for Inclusion | Sexual Self-Advocate | Champion for LGBTQ & Disability Justice | Empowering Individuals with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities to Discover Their Leadership Skills
As we commemorate Transgender Visibility Weekend, let us celebrate the visibility and resilience of the Transgender community. Our journey to self-awareness is shaped by various influences, and it is essential to acknowledge the role of strong feminine leadership exemplified by SheRA, Jem, Reno Mero, and Chyna. Advocating for sexual self-advocacy is fundamental, and it includes the right to determine one's identity and relationships. Supporting PFLAG of Greater Lansing is one of the ways to actively participate in advocacy efforts, even amidst challenges. However, incidents like Nex's tragic experience of being assaulted in their school bathroom, leading to their untimely death, underscore the urgency of our advocacy efforts. The implementation of sports bans that contradict Title IX and ongoing struggles to obtain identification documents that accurately reflect our identities highlight the need for our continued advocacy. Let us refuse to fade into the background and celebrate our visibility. There are moments when silence is not an option, and now is one of those times.

Unveiling the Full Picture: Transparency and Transgender Equality in Historical Context Historical societies hold a unique responsibility to serve as stewards of truth, reflecting on both the triumphs and shortcomings of the past. To achieve genuine transparency, we must bring to light the often-obscured stories of transgender individuals woven into the fabric of American history. By illuminating these narratives, we can foster a more comprehensive understanding of our collective past. This commitment to transparency extends to the present day. Transgender people continue to face significant challenges, encountering discrimination and marginalization. By amplifying their voices and advocating for their rights, historical societies can play a crucial role in creating a more just and equitable society for all. Tagline: For a complete portrait, every strand of the story must be revealed.
